If you look actually look at this players bio that was posted in the description of this video, he hardly ever build the items that Dobby says he does. He usually builds standard meta mage items. This video might be a bit misleading.
Thank you for mentioning that, and it is not an excuse for Dobby's video (also, video-making needs time). I just changed these three days after losing one game to getting to Challenger, and the ELO just happened around three days, and I just decided to change. I have prescribed items and runes for about a week and more, and I do make a reason for the item and runes on my community page because I have found that people were asking why I built this up.
And, I always choose Dark Harvest (97%)

@@MrMrtvozorniki personally use exhaust vs melee and cleanse against hard cc matchup. otherwise ignite is solid on her but i like tp better

E Q on lux was something I figured I'd see pretty quickly from lux players when they added the E slow lingering after detonation because it makes Q substantially easier to hit. Glad this guy is doing it!

@@thomas7546 I'm not sure but it was sometime in the last year or 2 I think. It was a while back pretty sure.
It even went crazy when the slow would last for five more seconds after the detonation. That bug was lit
at 4:00, another reason for walking back was to buy time to regenerate mana. After Q>E, Lux was at TWO MANA. They had the foresight to bait Viego into thinking they were completely empty and the exact moment Lux had the mana to fight back they took the opportunity. That's genius and is hard evidence as to how much skill they have on Lux.

I think one of the tip you missed of lux is even missing E just let it be there so you have more good angle to land Q. The E cool down is counting from the first time you casted it
Dark harvest lux was a rare rune nowadays for lux players because most people have been accustomed to support runes which is summon aery and arcane comet which was great for longer teamfights especially in bot lane but not for early 1 shot combos.
Speaking as a Lux main, comet had always been a preferred rune because it provided consistency over other runes. Dark Harvest and First Strike are good but requires you to have an advantage, snowball, or you are able to maximize it based on how long the game is.
I just use First Strike, even on support (one could argue that it's especially good on support because Lux needs gold and she can't get a lot of it on support).
I'd love to see a video on Yozu as well that'd be awesome. Lux is a fantastic champion to show real skills on

This build is 1 of many varieties of lux support based on ad. The guy just bring it to mid and perfect it.

This is how we used to play lux in season 2 we would play off the passive a lot that was before we had items that let you one shot so we used to focus a lot on passive proccing..Didn’t have dark harvest, comet, alternator, electrocute, ludens..had to really squeeze a lot of damage out laning phase felt longer as well so more time to 1v1
Lich bane Lux used to be the meta back in like season 5-6. Pretty sure it's not as good now only because of how much better all the other items are these days.

Most of the lux players are just midlessly spamming her abilities. A Q-aa-E-aa combo can do so much damage, and you save your ult for waveclear so you can roam

Dark harvest is in my opinion one of the worst runes for Lux. I always lost when I play her with Harvest, although I collected 20-30 souls. First strike is way better to me due to 9% damage increase when you initiate in combat first and her R is so much more powerful with that + you get free tier 1 boots. I get around 1000 gold each game from first strike + 300 gold save from boots.

Yeah, I do not interact with a mid Lux whatsoever, absurd range, absurd damage, impossible to miss abilities with outrageous hitboxes. Just let her be and dont allow her to scale off roams and kills in lane and you'll be able to make her irrelevant.

The lost chapter did not do that much damage compared to a whole item as lich (and I am tried with the mythic item... )
I used to main the silver player equivalent of this back in season four. I was so used to playing adhd aggro on it I preferred ignite in the zed matchup.
