    I’m in year 9 and because I’m someone who bases their learning off of understanding rather than just knowing a simple answer, this really helped me because my teacher just told us all we need to know is the definition, ‘same number of protons, different number of neutrons’. As I’m doing the higher paper for my test next week, I find this super helpful.

      The % of the Isotopes has to be given.
      Sometimes the may say
      75% of Cl is 35g and the rest is 37g
      Calculate the relative mass of chlorine ?
      So you know if
      75% is Cl-35 then
      25% MUST be Cl-37
      Hence :
      75 x 35 + 25 x 37
      -----------------
      100
      = 35.5g

    Hello!! Is the whole chemistry syllabus of gcse in this playlist??

    • @Cognitoedu
      @Cognitoedu  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Bo, mostly yes - but there are a few exceptions. We haven’t covered the practical tests, and there are a few triple science lessons still to come in the new year! If you’re doing double science though the playlist covers pretty much everything :)
      However - make sure you check the specification for your exam board. That way you can highlight the things not covered and be 100% sure not to miss anything - good luck! 🙌

    This is such a great video, and I'm really grateful for your channel: all the information is laid out in a way that is easy to understand and concise. Thank you for saving us students! One thing that got me scratching my head a bit though- at 5:55 you add 4359.6 and 2002, and the sum you get is 6361.69- I was just confused as to where the 9 came from? When I've added the two numbers in my calculator, it only seems to add up to 6361.6..? :/
