Yea not for long. They just open a new smart port in Lilioan (Pier 88), so now you don't have to go all the way to Danao. There's huge plans to develop those islands for tourism, enjoy it now while it's still not crowded.
We were honestly shocked by how little people were there. Such an amazing beautiful place and so easy to get to from Cebu. ✨ I’m sure the local economy will benefit greatly but hope they are able to prevent any over-tourism especially in the beautiful clear caves. I hope they do what Tulum in Mexico does and make visitors shower off sunscreen and bug sprays before entering the caves to keep them nice and clear. Thanks for watching! 🫶
I think you could probably see most of the island within a day but would definitely feel rushed but totally possible. I think the problem would be timing it with the ferry schedules. If I remember correctly the last ferry’s leave in the afternoon. Anyways, we hope you have a wonderful trip!! Thanks for watching 🫶
I was shocked too, knowing I live from the island. If you came from the city, it would only take 3 hours to come to the island. Yet it depends if there's a traffic jam from Mandaue going to Consolacion, it would take 2-3 hours to come to Danao. That's why maybe it took them 6 hours. But really, it would only take 3 hours coming to the island from the city.

6 hrs to get there from the city? Every other itinerary video says one hr from the city, 2 hrs from Danao. Able to confirm the actual time?
