Chip Reese is my poker idol. I try to conduct myself as if I were him. Compete fiercely, never berate players, always be polite and nice to players, and never be emotional at the table. A true class act
Chip Reese had the most amazing gift of making his victims to become his fans...!!!..He made people feel good even when they were losing large sums of money.
At the time Chip was the last person I wanted to see at my table! But I feel blessed to be one of the many to get played like a fiddle from without a doubt, one of the best players EVER! (my favorite player) 2005 WPT Shooting Stars tournament. Bay 101. R.I.P. Chip
What sucks is that when a (great) poker player dies he takes his knowledge and complete understanding of the game with him...only leaving his accomplishments behind...... Its like all that expertise and wisdom is locked away in a vault forever!!!!
This sounds so fucking stupid. Dude. Develop a sense of humor and learn to not only focus on one secular thing. What you said was not funny or clever. You are the type of jagoff that says shit like, “you are one Jack off,” or, “I’d like to show her my pocket rockets and go all in.” Just shut the fuck up and get bent.
I never met Chip Reese. I wish I did. I find him ver y admirable. A gambler who put his family first, left poker games when he was stuck big to go watch his son's Little League game -- that's a true gentleman. Someone we can all learn from.
r.i.p chip reese - greatest stud player ever, everyone should read his section in super system. the saddest thing is that he didn't recieve the publicity that a player of that stature deserved, and he surely going to prove to everyone that he was the best - but tragically not given the chance.
He died suddenly of a heart attack. Chip was amazing. He was awesome at all games. He is most certainly in the top 5 all time, and anyone who calls him the GOAT, is no fool
I DEALT TO BOTH OF THEM INCLUDING DOYLE FOR MANY YEARS IN VEGAS AND CALIFORNIA CARD ROOMS.....STU WAS THE BEST AND THE G.O.A.T. CHIP WAS BY FAR #2 ESPECIALLY IN STUD AND MIXED GAMES OF ALL KINDS ....AND NOT A BAD GIN PLAYER JUST NOT IN THE CLASS OF STU IN GIN ...DOYLE WAS AND IS MY #3 PLAYER OF ALL TIME THESE THREE PLAYERS COULD BEAT ANY OF THE YOUNG GUNS OF TODAY!!!!! p>s> CHIP AND DOYLE WERE PERFECT GENTLEMEN TO US DEALERS AND OTHER PLAYERS AND CORRECTED ANYONE GIVING A DEALER A HARD TIME OVER A LOSS POT
oshitomaha Plenty. Reading abilities. Control of your own tells. Being able to make other players misread you. People like Helmuth, Ivey and Neagranu aren't always in the mix because they're lucky. They're in it because they're good and have poker skills.
Yeah don’t know how much of that is down to his parenting tho seems pretty disrespectful to bring up on a tribute video of his I do get your point but lots of reasons such a thing can happen

Chip Reese: The best all-around poker player that most TV watchers have never heard of. Wish we had more video of him.

What qualities can you have in poker that other players haven't got? what a joke...

Let's say poker is like telling jokes... everybody can tell a joke but not everybody can make the whole audience laugh.
Great dad? Really? His kid died of an overdose not long after Chip died. Just stating the facts.
