My grandpa used to smoke. One day he went to a hypnotist to get him to stop smoking. It worked, and he never smoked again. To this day, he doesn’t believe he was hypnotized.

I second reality is plastic. And stage hypnotism is very different than close up hypnotism. If you are looking for close up, Anthony Jacquin is your guy. The Manchurian Approach is BY FAR the best dvd set for magicians and mentalists that want to use hypnosis. Induction is phenomenal too

Cool video. I'm more into magic and mentalism...didn't think I was super into hypnotism. But this has me intrigued. Nice video.
Learning some Hypnosis and NLP will actually help you with magic and mentalism at the same time. It helps sell the 'belief' of magic and mentalism when you can bypass the critical factor that people have going on in your shows/demos. It also can help you out in everyday life as well.

My husband learnt hypnotherapy and practices on me. He just ordered a copy of Induction. He never learnt about stage hypnosis, but so many people ask him to do stage hypnosis suggestions on me and he's not as confident doing them.

Man it's 11 45 am here where I live but as soon as I saw the notification I rushed in. Man love your content. I love this video. And I do believe in hypnosis for your information to what you said at the start of the video. But rather than hypnosis I prefer mentalism and magic. I just find them more fun. And as for what you said later in the video, imma take your dvd as a learning source. Reading to learn is hard for me I'm more of an auditory memory guy. Absolutely. Although, these sources are more for hypnosis as a performance. But once you get how to do it, anxiety cures are really simple.
SpideyHypnosis that’s great thank you some of your sleep videos and relax videos definitely helped me so thinking of helping my wife with her anxiety etc worth a try anyway lol is there a book you would recommend for when I want to learn it for :)
@@stubatman3103 Once you have some basics of hypnosis down, one of the 'tricks' for anxiety it to let them notice that the feelings they get inside for anxiety are VERY similar to the feelings they get when they are excited and about to have an amazing time. Often times, the brain confuses these feelings because they feel so similar. So suggest that perhaps it's just excitement and not anxiety at all. They can rewire how they interpret those feelings and be free to experience more positive outcomes..

Hi Spidey! I've heard so much about you lately -- what you do is awesome! I've been anxious to ask you... My son has an extreme aversion to the sounds of chewing (misophonia?). Do you know if hypnosis could help rid him of this issue? Yes it would. Desensitisation is very useful
I know im a year late, but try searching up “self hypnosis”. This is the self hypnosis method I use. Look straight up, then drop your head down and close your eyes, and then tell yourself what ever you’re trying to do. Try not to use the words “not”, and “won’t”. It might not work the first time, but after a bit it starts to work. Just remember to do it often.

great video but when you say that there are prewritten phrases and such does that mean that as a native german (would perform in german) would they loose effect? is it enough to just translate them? would appreciate tipps and tricks :)

Spidey from a performance point of view how will prop magic and card magic along side hypnosis work?
I understand I could hypnotise people to for eg. Say mini eggs are their favourite chocolate when I prompt them. Do you think stage hypnosis works with generic magic?
Great question. In the beginning of my career I used to do shows that combined mentalism and hypnosis. Like a two in one. I then realized it’s a bad idea. Because mentalism is trickery and hypnosis is real, no tricks. So in the show how do you draw that line? it’s very hard. Derren Brown does it really well but that’s about the only one I know.
I keep the two separate. Now I have a hypnosis show and a mentalism show and they are two different things. In street performance you can mix the two but on stage I think, for me at least, I’ll stick to one or the other .

I have the Induction, its really good both for beginners, both for experienced. Specially in stage. I learned a lot from it.
For close-up i recommed Lewis Le Val's products.

I’m interested and I would like to learn it to help people I know for sure
I have end stage emphysema. Learning to hypnotize my mind to control the anxiety. With emphysema my lower lungs lock up and I'm unable to release the carbon monoxide. If I could control my anxiety about not being able to break, would make my journey much easier.

. Is induction applicable for both stage and close up performances?
. Is induction all you need to know about hypnosis? What I mean by that is if I learn techniques mentioned in induction can I go out and hypnotize people?
