    Appreciate this video. Bought the wrong stuff twice and after this video I think I got It all down.

      If ur gonna buy the rsx shifter. DON"T! Hybrid Racing recently just came out with a shifter for the prelude along with shift cables as well. Don't waste ur money on doing the conversion when u can get one that bolts right up with little to no modifications at all.

      @@Chuemedia98 yea I saw the shifter, I already bought k series billet shifter for a good deal awhile back and can’t return it so I’m using it till I can afford the better one. 2 bolts bolt in so it should be ok. I’m using k series cables I believe and a H series bracket adapter and that shifter

    Great video as I had the exact same symptoms and could not figure out 2nd and 4th. By the way what did you use for the side slot. And did you remove the side spring to put in whatever you used to keep the bushing from pushing down?

      @Chuemedia98  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just went to the store to by an aluminum that has the same or about the same width as the slot. Just cut it to the right length and inserted it in, and hot glue it so that it doesn't pop out.

    How is it holding up still from the 1st day? I got the eBay one but went K-Tuned Rev2 Race Billet instead for reliability as I saw the No Name brand one's spring failed.
    Got it installed in my '94 Accord with an H22 with F20B LSD trans. It is a headache to make it work so it'll go in gears.

      Mine is still holding up strong. Been shifting hard af with it ever since i got it installed. Atm the motor and trans is out, so i haven't been able to drive and keep on banging gears to tell u exactly how it's holding up. But will for sure run this setup for a while til it fail on me

    Great video!! What’s the difference between 3rd gen and 5th gen prelude shifter? 🤔

    • @Chuemedia98
      @Chuemedia98  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The linkage mounting on the shifter is different. For the 3rd gen it's mounted right next to each other, while on the 5th gen one is shifted further back.

      I don't have a link but u'll probably have to look on the Honda site or look for used ones on the market.

    Why mix & match k with h? Hybrid Racing makes H shifters & cables. Easy swap...

    • @Chuemedia98
      @Chuemedia98  ปีที่แล้ว

      This was before Hybrid Racing ever made one. This conversion bracket was made a long time ago. Hybrid just recent came out with the prelude shifter.

    Great vid, but I can clarify something's. I have a 4 gen prelude converted to 5 speed about the same set up. For the shifter, is up to you if you want to put in a washer or a bolt like he did, but some vendors or amazon actually sell the aluminum bushing with hex key bolts. As for the cables in shaving it down the lobes, there is actually a conversion lobe for the shifter specifically for H series. The lobe is a bit more smaller and longer. Then again, it is up to anybody who wants to do it this way. You save money going this route just a little bit of work. The other way around as I explain you just change over the lobes and it will go right in without modding. But you still need need to run the conversion bracket for the cables on the tranny like he did. But for the 4th gen the shifter will only line up the 2 back holes. The fronts I had to drill and tap riveted. Some people have bought a piece of aluminum and modded there own adapter plate for the shifter assembly. My advice is when you get your shifter assembly, lock tight all your screw, bolts, etc. Under vibration it will backout and when you first receive it , you'll notice somethings are loose too. So be advised. bull boost should have majority of the things you need.
