  • So i finally got myself an aftermarket air filter. The DNA filter made a huge difference to the throttle response and smoothness of power delivery. Im really happy with my purchase! :)

    The cat is sitting there like "if he'd only asked me it would have been done 5 minutes ago".

    Thanks for the video.. Question.. Did you have to flash the ECU?

    did you have to remove all the gas from the tank, or you can just remove the tank, even if it's full?

      Its best to have very little gas in the tank when lifting it. If its too full then the excess gas with run into the overflow tube and leak out the bottom of the bike. Id suggest having less than half the tank full when lifting it up.

    I really like your video, i am struggling to get off the plastic screws.
    I bet you recorded it with a GoPro. If I may say so, i advise you to put on the open backdoor for a better audio recording.
    one last thing: i was looking for aftermarket mirrors because over 7000 rpm the stock ones start vibrating so hard, which are the ones you bought?
    thank you

      +Alex_-91-_ Hi! Which plastic screws are you referring to? I actually recorded with a DRIFT HD and a microphone inside my helmet. Was the audio poor quality for you?
      Yes I find that my mirrors vibrate a lot at around the same RPM's. My mirrors still vibrate even though I changed them. Some suggestions I've read say you can try heavier bar ends as well as filling the bars with lead pellets or even black silicone.

      the shitty ones you got out with the help of your nail.
      no, the audio wasn't bad. Only a little bit cushioned, that's it.
      At the end of the video I saw your mirrors preatty steady, that's the reason I asked your mirror's brand.

      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ooh yes. Try a small screw driver with a thin flat head under the screw to help you get it out of the slot.

    • @MrAlexxx91
      @MrAlexxx91 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dark Rider That's how i did it. I fucked up the screw though.....likely nobody watch the bike in that direction :).
      One last question: which brand are exactly your mirrors?

    • @DarkRiderMotovlogs
      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      hahaha! Well im sure there are replacements somewhere :P
      They are oxford universal mirrors I think.

    Great bike, first time i've seen an identical setup as my own bike:) you still have it?

      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Unfortunately not :( I sold the GSR and got the CBR 600RR. Then sold the CBR and got my current bike which is the Aprilia Tuono RSV1000.
      The GSR was a really great bike and the Leo Vince pipes made it sound even better!

    Hi, i've watched your video 100 times but i cant see how do you disconect the IAP sensor from the top half of the air cleaner box. There is 1 switch but when i remove it, there is also 1 cable still attached to the box preventing me from fully removing the top half of the box. Ps: i changed the air filter but i lost 1 bolt from the box in the motorcycle so i need to do this to find it. I am afraid to ride like this :)

      TheBubebodom Hi! as far as I remember there was only 1 plug that I had to disconnect from the airbox to open it up which sounds like the one you have done already. hopefully you come right with your bike and find the screw. sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    Feels good when you fix something and it works well afterwords
    At about 5:28 the world melts for a second and shame poor cat was chased away when you started up the bike

    • @DarkRiderMotovlogs
      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +FixITwithC4 haha ya oops forgot the cat was there :P Weird that it does that at 5.28. The raw file is fine. Must have lost connection or something during the upload.

      +FixITwithC4 Haha the poor cat doesn't like the new exhaust at all. Much like the neighbours, I suspect

    • @DarkRiderMotovlogs
      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My exhaust is the least of the neighbors worries. There's a guy with a Cobra replica down the road. That V8 is plenty loud for all the neighborhood to hear :P

    How did u disconnect the connector and the hose from the airbox? The hose at my bike is so god damn fixed in position it doesn't move at all. Just pull?

    • @DarkRiderMotovlogs
      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, It has a small metal clamp on it that you press together and then pull down. Then you can just pull the hose off. Should be too hard to remove. Could try some WD40 around it to try and loosen it up if the rubber has become hard.

    • @DarkRiderMotovlogs
      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    nice video! how to compare to BMC filter ?!

    • @DarkRiderMotovlogs
      @DarkRiderMotovlogs  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a BMC filter in my CBR 600RR now and they perform about the same to be honest. No noticeable difference.

    Behind the left side panel it should be a box with tools and under it a tank stand.Check for it the next time you may want to use it.Great video by the way!(check on 3:00 th-cam.com/video/PmvRY8shaD4/w-d-xo.html)
