3 questions : 1 how big was the plow that the big Avery could pull? 2 how often did the water tank came out to fill the boiler. 3 do they have a "road" gear or were they always that slow.
It really depends on preference, if you like the brass, and the elegance of a machine, Europe takes the lead. However if you like the moving parts, dirtiness and sheer power of the machine, then American engines take the lead. I know its that way with steam locomotives. I assume its similar for traction engines.
im still amaiZed on how many of these machines were saved from scrap.
Great old tractor! Thumbs up!
I have always liked the look of the Avery steam traction engine
I'm converting my Wilesco tractor to look like those Minneapolis engines.

What are the red tanks on the front of the tractors, water condensers?
lovely machines . trevor and his kin .
Сумасшедшие машины.. как будто монстры из другого мира..
Avery's design sure didn't stray much from that of a conventional steam locomotive haha
minneapolis expo?
2:52-3:25 Were those Holt engines?
I believe so. It's hard to tell in the video. They are certainly old enough.
Jon B. Rails Video Never mind. Just found out that none of the original Holt engines survived the ages.
Oh that's too bad.. I didn't know that.
Jon B. Rails Video Someone DID make a Holt replica with some original parts.
So, in theory, those could Holt tractors. That's cool

American steam has never looked as nice as uk engines

We built them to work, not to look pretty. Also a lot of engines built in the UK you cant even run a belt on them.
in the apocalypse when all fuel has gone extinct the steam engine shall rise again :)
Steam has more torque. Electricity can't pull shit. Fuck japan and fuck you.
+Weyerhaeuser Railfan Erm, electric has ALL of the torque, electric make MASSIVE amounts of power and torque
dennis trident william but only at low speed. Accelerate and you loose hp.
