I’d say it did a better job of putting devs like Ubisoft & Bethesda to shame given they’re the open world experts. They should feel ashamed with their capabilities given how polished FromSofts first open world is compared to theirs.

There should be a special award for Biggest Balls in Gaming this year, which would HAVE to go to Sony, imo. Sony of all companies arguing against games being exclusive is just impressive. Been a great year lads, and hopefully the channel really takes off in 2023. Best gaming podcast and one of the most entertaining podcasts overall. Cheers guys.
To be honest though my GOTY was Stray. I guess it just says more about my taste and amount of time I have to play. It was a beautiful, self contained, completely unique little package, that respected my time and was fun to explore and play. It ended a bit abruptly but I still loved it. So there we go. 3 comments. Up the algorithm.

Great show today guys, it's been an awesome year watching you guys bullshit with each other.I hope you all have a merry Christmas. I play on PlayStation mostly and I got high on life and I'm having fun with. For game of the year it was a really hard time picking between Elden Ring and Ragnarok but I would pick Elden Ring but that said both games are truly amazing both should be played.
Wow, I’m really surprised to see some people that agree with me on God Of War: Ragnarok. Everyone else I’ve seen has been saying Ragnarok was the best thing ever, and I’m over here like “no. It’s good, but overrated”. The gameplay/combat is fantastic, but I was hyped for the story, and that was a letdown for me. Ignoring the plotholes, the story didn’t grab me like GoW (2018) did. And the numerous glitches, one of which prevented me from getting the Platinum trophy for an entire month (until they patched it last week) didn’t help. Great game regardless, but not Game Of The Year imo, so I am surprised and happy to see that others had similar opinions as I did for Ragnarok. Love you guys. Happy holidays (I don’t want to assume you celebrate Christmas, just in case), have a wonderful New Years, and I’m looking forward to another year of this fantastic podcast.
Also Elden Ring is trash!!!! Just my hot take 😁 I cannot understand the love for it. At all. Playing for hours to beat a single enemy brings me little satisfaction. It feels to me like an old arcade game where the point was to kill you as quick as possible. I dont see how any grown man has the time for it. People tell me about the rush they get when they finally beat that boss and thats what makes it worth it. When I beat a boss I just feel like I learnt to cheese it after 50 tries and got lucky once. Im in the minority now, but one day, everyone will look back and think what the bloody hell were we thinking.
holy hell is this scripted You should all play a host role and just riff off each other like a late night show or space ghost or whatever, more often like just as the weekly show. really enjoyed this format. wonderlands was terrible, from what i understand, the borderlands fans have crawled all the way back to 2 skipping 3 entirely. it's kinda killed the series i believe. also not that it's worth noting; a new tales from the borderlands dropped like 2 months ago, of course it sucked. next god of war is atreus in egypt! lol #nofuckinfishtops

Elden Ring elevated what video games are capable of.

My game of the year is Need for Speed: Unbound, because it is the only game from this year I have played.
