Unless it was changed in a patch, you can definitely dodge spark. Dotodoya did it in a video. I remember it vividly because he yelled "it's a videl exclusive!" afterwards.
"You can't dodge spark"? Untrue. Videl has an option select. If you get it on the right frame, lvl3 -> hold forward jump -> heavy overhead -> back-special will either hit confirm, blockstring, or dodge (including spark).

Super into Gohan lets you DR for double super to burn 4~6 bars depending on your team's and meter situation, which should always be good with Videl since she's best as a point character and builts a good amount of bar.

The one thing that bothers me about playing as Videl is that people don't respect her. As soon as she comes out, opponents go absolutely ham. Every unsafe, untested, crazy button combination comes out cause "lol, it's videl, what's she gonna do?" And I hate it cause it often works. (I get that part is on me to react appropriately.) As soon as Videl is dead and your next character comes out, suddenly its back to careful-neutral play. Makes me so mad!
