Was working with a Cannuck some years ago and we were laughing at his Canadian Forces over in the middle east when the news showed the US Military rolling through in their Humvee's, Abrahms Tanks, and Bradley's, then the Canadian troops were bringing up the rear in about 15-20 of these Gators! We got a good chuckle out of that!

Toyota's are used in some capacity by 70 percent of the world's Militarys, also, check out whistlin diesels hilux tests for more smiles. Jeremy Clarkson is still my favorite TV/car guy.
I bought a Honda rancher when they came out. Transmission stopped working 6 months in. Brought it in and they had it 4 weeks rebuilding, fixing etc but mostly ignoring phone calls. Got it back, same problem, another 2 weeks. Picked it up, was handed a bill, told em eat shit and call Honda. Went back n forth, Honda covered it, I sold the piece of junk right after and bought a Polaris. Had it 15 years. Plowed in the winter (even got a contract for sidewalks, paid for itself the first year) 500cc was the biggest engine made at the time. Never had a single problem and got an automatic transmission (replaced the belt after 9 years, didn’t need to, just figured it was time) sold it for $1500 after retiring and moving south. I’ll take “junk” like that any time lol. .

The military versions are even worse than the civilian versions, they either have anemic and hardly reliable diesel motors, or they have regular polaris problems. There are always issues, every unit that has them has a few broken ones. The John deer gators (both new and old style) are moderately better for reliability, but they are not as capable offroad. I would take a 90's 2 stroke polaris 4x4 atv, only for the cool factor. They are pretty trash with their overly complex chain drive 4x4, CVT and H/L/R transmission. The strut suspension is mediocre, although they had nice sealed wheel bearings at that point. I own one Polaris, 3 Yamaha's, 7 Honda's, a KTM (dirtbike) and have also had Can Am.
The war in Ukraine has shown that building 100 of these for each tank you would have built is a much better means of spending money. Each should have a 250 mile range, an attached machine gun, attached grenade launcher, and an anti-tank weapon such as the Javelin with one in the barrel and three more in storage, two stingers, carry 3 soldiers including the driver and a top speed of 50 mph. These could travel a lot of miles quickly and be much easier to hide from drones. Others, specifically designed with weapons to detect and take out drones should accompany these. Laser technology will be the death of drones. Put these utvs in battle groups of 25 with 5 of those being the anti drone model and you have yourself a very lethal grouping.
You could mount an anti drone Phalanx on it too like a mini version of what is on battleships for anti missle... if you had a bunch you could have a varaity of options mounted on differnet ones and send them to the needed areas etc... maximizing your effectiveness per $ spent. Granted this is against the philisophy we follow today where we try to minimize risk to the Nth degree. It is also about the right size to haul a JPBDS or JLSCAD (anti BIO / anti airborne chemical detection units) they usually get towed around by HMMWVs.

1st vehicle is a MRZR not a Prowler. The towing capacity is not 3k it’s 1500. And it couldn’t go 75mph unless you dropped it from a plane. Lol They aren’t really that much stronger than a normal RZR either.
You know how you tell if a vehicle is Military spec, use a magnet on the shell and Frame, if it sticks, it's Mil Spec, if it doesn't, it's Chinese Made Garbage...

They are actually quite reliable. They have also been used on a ton missions. We drug hummvees around with them.
Even worse, the M RZR and most all the polaris junk made for the military has the junk and gutless diesel motor.
