Me and my wife are doing a 31-Day on this ship. We kind of knew this ship wouldn't be great. But it's our 10 year anniversary and a cruise to Japan is what we wanted to do. We also go the room for free from the casino. Our two biggest fears are the food and the lack of inclosed bars. Everything you've said here makes me think my fears are well founded. 😂
Congrats on 10 years! There is no such thing as a perfect cruise….every cruise is what you make of it. And in fact, yours could be different if they have a better food service staff. Any free cruise is a good cruise and Japan will be amazing. As we concluded, we would do it all again just to go to the Conflict Islands again. If you go into it with lower expectations you’ll probably love it! Definitely some good things too!
@CruiseThroughRetirement SO this will be our 7th Carnival cruise. All of them have been on Spirit class ships. So we have a pretty good idea of what the level of standards are for Carnival's smaller ships. As long as this ship gets even close to that bar, we'll be more than happy. Also I've found that any issue can be solved on a Carnival ship, with a soft voice, gentle touch, and amazing crew. :)
