Akira Torayama, who drew Dragon Ball and Doctor Slump, liked Hong Kong films. Actually, it's far beyond simple likeness-according to some interviews, his office was playing Jackie Chan films 24/7. Impressed by this scene, He made his main character eat like Jackie Chan in this film. Later, influenced by his mangas, it became the stereotype of the main character of Japanese adventure mangas.
🤣when I was a kid, I tried to replicate the sheer gluttony of Jackie's ratbag character in this scene and gave myself a tummy ache!

Of all the eating scenes in movies, this scene alone has to be my favourite
I don't know the context, but Jackie just tried to dine and dash, and the wait staff confronted him about it. From what I can see, Jackie is entirely in the wrong here, even with an old, kung-fu master at his side.

Context: Jackie's character, a mischievous kid, ran away from home after being punished by his dad for one too many shenanigans, and tried to scam the restaurant for a free meal.

So Hi vs the Gorilla is perhaps the highlight of this fight scene.
considering just how amazing this scene was that i just watched, i sometimes wish that jackie chan had carried on with type of asian martial arts films and perhaps never bothered to make american films.
Same. His 80s, 90s movies were the best. Some 2000s films were good. But I didn't like any of his Hollywood movies. The choreography was average, humour lost in translation. My fav Jackie movie is still Drunken Master 1978. Did you know this eating scene inspired Goku's character in Dragonball?

Mais ça n'a pas marché Bruce Lee est unique même si chan est excellent au niveau arts martiaux. Jacky chan a trouvé l idée qui ferait sont succè les arts martiaux et la comédie ces maîtres buster keaton et harold loyd de plus Jacky chan est sympathique et humble j appreci beaucoups ce commedien. Dans le film ont retrouves des acteurs ayants tournés le grand Bruce Lee.
