hi dear mr, and master takayuki .Only to say ...thanks for your videos and your musical choices. This song and this version is absolutley fantastic.thank you one more time master.
Thank you for all the superb transcriptions - they're really helping my on my bass journey. Are you able to upload the transcription for this one? I couldn't find it on your webpage?
One of my favorite bassists ever, Scott Lafaro! Thank you so much! Two questions if you don't mind: 1) How do you hear the double bass in most recordings where the main instrument is playing loudly? Do you have any tips to transcribe it? I am trying to transcribe a bassline currently but it's pretty difficult to hear. Are there any external tools you use or is it just practicing and training your ear? And if so do you recommend anything to be able to hear the bassist well? I have trouble with this at jam sessions also. 2) Could you consider transcribing the bassline and maybe the solo too from "Second Genesis" by Wayne Shorter? Thanks a ton!! th-cam.com/video/CRNmmUYavXg/w-d-xo.html
I'm worried if I can understand in my English, but I'll answer the question. It's difficult for everyone to hear the bass. (1) Let's train our ears first. And you need to understand the code. Use the equalizer to adjust the base part to be heard as much as possible. Then the tenor saxophone will be lifted together, but it will adjust it well. I will score with an electric bass that has been perfectly tuned many times. For example, if there is a subtle sens of incongruity whether it is C or D♭, I try to follow the code theory. (2) I will consider it.
Thank you for bringing this classic to life! With a transcription!!
thanks‼️

Top thanks for this. I like the sound of your double bass : what type is it ?
My instrument is made in Romania, with a gamba shape and a flat back.
