Thank you very much for this great review 🙏
What an amazing game, FUJII silver and rook sacrifice just blew my mind 🤯
it's fair to say the semeai was anything but onesided, many players, even strong ones, could have been checkmated by FUJII at the end, especialy in byo-yomi time trouble.
What an impressive defense skill ITOH show in this game. 💪
I really wander why FUJII chose to copy ITOH's last gameplay by castleling into anaguma. 😯
Good news is, we'll see FUJII playing qualification games again 😁
Big Congratulations to ITOH for this amazing result, only 3 years after becoming professional player 👑

      Thanks for watching!
Ito was really strong and Fujii recognized it. I think that’s why Fujii made a mistake in endgame like human beings.
About copying the game would often happen in title matches. Because both players had same understanding and curious about the position.

I've been waiting for it! I was watching the game today and thought it can't help but appear here :)
Maybe I haven't seen enough of the Fujii's games, but he didn't play in such impressive style with a lot of acute sacrifices. Rather he looked like an engine with his peerless count ability and exceptional sense of the position. In my opinion it's the most "human" Fujii's battle and the most beatiful from what I have seen from him before.
Fuji's face during his final moves in this battle was the living embodiment of Fukaura Koichi's words -- The invisible blood of the players flows across the board.

Yes, I saw also the face of Fujii’s behavior, especially around the byo yomi. I wonder what Ito felt and thought in the situation. He looked cool until end but his brain and blood had must been boiled.
Anyway this game was really beautiful. That’s why I created this video soon.

Fujii-san forgot to recharge his batteries last night, hence the mistake 😅
Great analysis as always, Oya-san. I am always looking forward to your videos!
I don't quite understand why people keep saying this game is special. Is it only because Fujii-san lost? So if he would not have made a mistake, he would have won and the game would not be regarded as special? 🤔

This game must be special because it was the first time for Fujii san to lose one of his crowns and also it was first to lose as title match. From the game point of view, it is also special because Fujii san lost the game after he got advantage at first. Normally he could win easily after getting advantage. Of course, for Ito san, it is first time to get title. So there are many reasons why this game was so special.

@@shogiramentv64 I see. So it's special mostly because the demigod Fujii-san has lost after all.
It's amazing to have witnessed 8 crowns by a single player.

    Great game!
Can you explain why gote captures the silver on move 78? Can't he just ignore it and drop B'37, for example after Sx65 Bx26 P'64 S72 P'74, is the attack strong enough to compensate for a rook?

      Thanks for watching!
Your understanding is correct. Dropping bishop and getting rook is a bit slow against Anaguma. I was thinking another option about S64 instead of capturing silver. Even gote did the defense, sente still will attack by Sx65. Steps will be S64, Sx65, Sx65, S66, P’64, Sx65, Px65, S’53. This is one example. So even if gote choose more defensive way, sente can attack by sacrificing silvers. After these comparisons, I think gote chose just capturing silver.
