  • I'm making personalized scroll saw keychains for Christmas this year. These are dandy little stocking stuffers and could even be sold at craft fairs.
I'm using a stencil printer that was available via free download at Steve Good's scroll saw blog:
    scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com...
    Woodworking supplies: www.amazon.com/shop/tiki71?li...
Reaganite71 is now Tiki71 to reflect our love of tropical gardening, palm trees, and all things TIKI! I'm the same guy, just older, with a beard, and now I'm growing out instead of up thanks to Katiie's cooking.

🍹 Our Tiki71 Amazon Storefront is filled with the things we use and like & it’s a convenient way to check out what you see on our channel & it adds ABSOLUTELY no cost to you 🥂: www.amazon.com/shop/tiki71
    More on that below 👇🏼
👉🏽If you see something you like in one of our videos, there’s a good chance we’ve put it on our curated Amazon page: www.amazon.com/shop/tiki71 If you click through and buy something, we receive a small a very small commission (as little as 1%) that costs you NOTHING extra, but it helps with the costs of delivering content, so Ma-halo (thank you)! 🤟🏼
    🌴 🥃 🍷 🍸
👎🏼 I DO NOT buy, nor recommend plant SEEDS on Amazon, only live plant from sellers well rated. I've had too many bogus experiences.
👍🏼 I absolutely DO recommend Amazon on live plants that you can’t get locally. Several of our multi-year tropicals have come from good suppliers on Amazon (like (Logee’s, American Plant Exchange, Cold Hardy Farms, Costa Farms, Old Oaks Nursery, Hirts, etc.) and arrived alive and well.

Really beautiful, nice work. Just a tip for you, if I may be so bold: If you dilute your linseed oil with a little white spirit it will easily penetrate the wood with no extra rubbing required, and not to mention it will last longer!

I have a tip - sometimes the split rings are hard to hold open to feed through the hole in the wood. Use a staple puller (the spring jaw tooth type) to split the ring and hold it open (this works for putting pet tags onto collars also). Great Video!

Nice job! Just started using my scroll saw again a few weeks ago after probably a 10 year hiatus. Went out yesterday to try out your key fob idea. That is when I realized that you must have been using pinless blades! I had to enlarge the font big enough to accept a 3/16" bit for my interior cuts to be able to insert my pin style blade thru the pilot holes. I gotta get me a new saw that will accept both style of blades!

He got the stencils from scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com
There should be a button close to the bottom of the page that says 'download'. Click that, then click on the file, then follow the setup instructions. If you are wondering how to find the stencil for the keychain, it is labelled 'mychain' Just make sure when you're typing that there are no capitals. I have not figured out how to do the end pieces though. Hope this helps!
