Getting away from the popular tourist resorts of Palmanova, Magaluf and Santa Ponsa, heading further west down to my favourite places including Sant Elm (St Elm), Port Andratx and Camp de Mar, check out why these Mallorca highlights make a perfect place to either stay or to visit as a day trip.
Even if you're not able to rent a car, you can take the public TIB busses from your resort of even from Plaza Espana in the capital Palma to each of the resorts mentioned in this video.

Hey Paul! Sant Elm is honestly a jewel in Mallorca's crown and so overlooked by many. The countryside in this area too is spectacular. Nothing like Mallorca as most people know it! Thanks so much for commenting!

This video makes me want to fast forward to 2022. We're quite familiar with Port Andratx, but your trip to Sant Elm was a revelation. We visited it briefly when we stayed at Camp De Mar in 2013 but didn't realise then how much was there and how beautiful it is!
This is a fabulous video with picture postcard images, Alex and really shows how beautiful this part of the island is.
I love St Elm so much - definitely one of the most understated places on the island! Add in the hiking too if it's not too hot - literally has everything!
Super video, thanks again Alex. A part of the island I haven't been to. Tried to drive to Port Andratx and ended up in Cala Llamp which was beautiful. Arriving in Palma on the 25th, can't wait.......

Wow the weather is amazing, was this filmed in October?
One presentation tip: when you are transitioning between segment to segment ie say from Andratx to Camp de Mar it would be good it you put up a map with the different areas market out (ie Camp de Mar). Just so the view knows exactly where the new location is.
That’s what I missed ! You know the other day I was trying to figure out how to include maps and then didn’t actually do it ! Thanks for the tip ! And yes, we’ve had some blinding weather past few days ☀️ - filmed last weekend. It’s been raining a little today tho as you’ll see in the new video !

I wonder if you might know if there are supermarkets, shops etc close to St Elm for people who live there? Also, when you say slightly less touristy shops, do you mean in terms of the type of things they sell?
I think the little supermarket stays open over the winter in the resort... I'm pretty sure of it... But it's more of a Spa shop. The less touristy shops are more handicraft shops which sell gifts and homemade products rather than the cheap plastic Chinese stuff!
