Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
Rumor has it they r already seeing tuna in the Batimore and Poormans. Good video! We bought 2 wide trackers at the Greater Phila fishing show for this coming season.
I have a question, why can’t people make some sort of tuna hook that can kill the tuna right away once it’s hooked so you dont have to do a two hour fight with it?
Hi mate- just found your videos , I’m from the uk but live in the south Philippines, and my retirement plan/dream would be to buy a boat and become a tuna fishermen , it’s famous for its tuna here but I have no idea where to start, you and this video are my starting point 🍺
THanks so much for watching Tom!!! 130 lb hollowcore to 80 mono topshot. not sure how long Zac made the topshot. Probably 100 yards or so. He does all the spooling. I don't have the patience.
@@reaperfishingnj8623 Awesome thank you. Glad to hear that because that's what I have on my 30s now but I think I'm 150 or 200 yard topshots. Thanks Capt! Love the videos
Captain Chris- For inshore/Midshore tuna, do all these lures directly correlate, or do you change anything up for 30 fathom line fishing? Also looking to add a 5 line spread this year for midshore trolling. I have my eye on Pinnacle XR Pro rods, but am undecided on what reels for trolling. Any recommendations? I am trying to stay away from 50W's while also looking for affordability. Thanks!
When we fish 30 F for bluefin I run only bars and ballyhoo. No single lures. And I run my ballyhoo and wide trackers even further back. The shotgun goes even further way way way back. On our boat we have Penn 50s, Penn 30s and Shimano TLD 50 2 speeds. The shimano's are a bit lighter and less expensive. They handle anything we have introduced them too. Lot of guys are running narrower Avets/Accurates/etc. I had so many Penn 50s and 30s from my father that I just added new ones as needed. Pretty cool....some of our 50s have been with me and Zac since we were kids. We have a few of his father's gear as well.
Reaper Fishing NJ Just got 2 wide trackers, 2 spreader bars, and 6 different joe shutes👌🏼Going all in for my first real offshore season! haha. Do you troll with 30s or just 50s for the inshore bluefin?
$25 Shakespeare sturdy stik, got me a 40+ lb bass on my last trip last season and tired me out tightening up the line on my 6000 reel with the boat running 10 knots with 4? Oz of weight at the end of the line. All the rod I can handle without a gimble in an extended fight. Not gonna get any monsters but absolutely dragged that bass in with a heavy duty 6000 spinner and 60# braid
These videos are super helpful! You inspired me to buy a bought and learn to fish for tuna on my own. Been charting. 2005 Contender 27 Open twin Yamaha 200s HPDI 400 Hours. Deposit was sent today.

thanks for checking out our channel graham. We much prefer catching them on lighter gear. We occasionally will down size to 25 and 30 pound leader using live baits. Check out the video below. th-cam.com/video/I0p1-PJcoxg/w-d-xo.html
