Everly was definitely wallowing in that new baby smell we woman love and adore. The moment I saw you I knew exactly who you are Erin. I remember I watched the Duggars religiously and from time to time your family would be on a show with them. Then your family got their own show. I can remember when Chad proposed! Y’all were and still are the cutest sweetest couple. Honestly I probably wouldn’t remember any of your siblings but you stood out in my mind. I can remember thinking not only is she a good Christian young lady with a huge heart but she’s absolutely flawlessly gorgeous! Your sisters were beautiful as well! I just remember all that beautiful blonde hair and you looked like God had popped you out of the perfect Christian Barbie doll mold! Something about you just captivated me. And you weren’t the least bit vain. So humble and giving. Not only was it your outer beauty but your inner beauty was just a gorgeous! But I haven’t seen you or your family on anything in years. I had no idea you were on TH-cam! I’ve gotten on here because I was forced to pull our youngest out of our small country public school due to bullying and the effect it was having on her. I’ve found a wealth of amazing homeschool momas on here with some of the BEST advice! They have truly been the biggest blessing to me in this journey. We ended up taking a year off to work on her mental health and we decided to repeat 7th grade. I also have 5 kids but mine are much older, 24, 21, 18, & 13yr old twins. My daughters twin brother decided to stay in public school and that’s fine. He’s happy. But now that we’ve been doing it I wish the internet besides dial up and all the resources had been available to us when mine were young. I always wanted to homeschool but because me & my husband went thru ps we didn’t have a clue about it. And only had 1 couple that were friends at the time that homeschooled. They used BJU. Because of all the myths about homeschooling I just wasn’t confident enough to do it. My oldest daughter has made an accountant. My 2nd daughter is in nursing school. My 18yr old son is in his first year of college and plans to become an accountant as well. Of course my 13yr olds want to be TH-cam stars. 🤣🙄 I’ve told them that’s wonderful but they need an education in something so they can support themselves while working on becoming stars. Until I started homeschooling myself my only regret in life was not finishing college. Now that’s changed. My only regret is not homeschooling all my babies! The things I could have taught them, the family closeness we could have made deeper, and mostly I could have given them so much better of a foundation in God! I love that you are homeschooling them! Because my daughter has adhd and was just barely getting by we’ve tried several curriculums. So far we are using Gather Round which we LOVE! I’m also throwing in some fix it grammar, we have the 7th grade masterbooks lessons for each subject, the good and the beautiful language arts, easy peasy language arts (she & I both struggle in that area so we just throw in some extra with our Gather Round when she needs more) and Time 4 Learning. It works for her so that’s what we are doing right now. I’ve definitely learned what works for one family might not for another. I’ve bought and tried a few. Lol. But it’s so so good to see y’all on here and know y’all are doing so well!!! I’m so happy for y’all! You are both amazing people and are both amazing parents!
