for 16bit DAC8531, i used this echo command : echo -ne "\xFF\xFF" > /dev/spidev0.0 ; but output is not changed!

I checked mouser (dot com), searched for analog to digital converters, refined search for through-hole components in-stock, and found chips with 2, 3, 4, and 8 channels. The MAX533 is a SPI-driven 12-bit DAC and costs $5.27
