    I am in UK and just bought the PC800 1990. Best well balanced bike I have bought. I am 71 now and its has a real grunt to the engine. I think it should be reintroduced! I reckon it is the forterunner to the ST1100 which I have had and sold. This is much better than the ST.

      Nice buy. These are getting hard to find, but they are still reasonable price wise. I'm glad you found one in great condition too. I'm jealouse!

      Great to hear! Mine was cherry, then I had too much fun and scratched her up and broke the mirror. Getting hard to find parts. Ohhhh! If you just got it I'll give you something to check. Get a cheap voltmeter as these bikes are known for weak stators and voltage regulators (VRR). I was pumping out close to 20v for a while causing some really wierd issues. After some research I had it fixed for $50. Pretty easy repair also. Enjoy the bike! I was lucky enough to get a Corbin seat and luggage tank factory colored matched. Shoot me a DM if you ever want to sell. I'd like 3 of these in my garage. Lol. I've been riding since 1990 Harleys, sport bikes, cruisers, you name it. I don't know if it's my size or what but this is my favorite bike to date. I was lucky to even get the factory Kenwood radio with mine too. Have fun man! Thanks for letting us know about your gem!!

    I only just heard of this bike and I am OBSESSED. I ride a Vulcan Classic 1500 v-twin , and a Honda Elite 250 scooter and this is right in the middle. It's PERFECTION.

    My 1989 has almost 61,000 miles, everything works perfectly. It had dealer service from new. Now I do it. You can look forward to a LOT of years of riding it...whatever you do in the way of maintenance is more than worth it. Somethings just fail because of age...and dirt. If you have electrical problems.. some cleaning of grounds and contact cleaner will go a long way, when the panels are off..that's the time to strike !

    I also have a pc! It’s a good mid sized cruiser and the breakaway mirrors are very good, since a hit it and was able to reattach it with just a allen key

    Once owned a 1990 PC800 myself.
    That trunk is waterproof. (Aside from the radio)
    And each side has a drain plug. You could pack sandwiches & sodas on ice and then drain it later.

    It's basically a 4 gallon tank. My gauge calibration is little wonky. When it just hits E I have1.25 gallons left..which is a big reserve.

    My thoughts are... drum roll please... I have always wanted one of these but with the vtwin 1100 Sabre engine with fuel injection. This is another motorcycle Honda needs to bring back but for guys that still own the older 800cc one make all the body panels inter-changable so guys with the old 800 can get new body panels again for their old PC800 but make sure the newer PC1100 looks identical to the old PC800. That is just how much I love the look of this bike.😁

    Kinda seems like Honda’s thinking in making the Pacific coast was to offer people a lighter weight version of a goldwing. Looks very much like one.

    • @advancedinvestors
      @advancedinvestors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. The history behing the PC800 was to make a commuter bike for the coastal large cities with traffic issues that would appeal to brand new riders. That's the reason for the big trunk. You can put your helmets in there and your briefcase. I've seen 2 full beer cases fit with the trunk able to close also. Lol. Your correct it's comfortable, large windshield, radio option, and easy to drive. And it looks sporty. Unfortunately the concept never really took even through several iterations from 89 to 96 I believe. Even a gap or two where they didn't sell them in between revamps.

    Pardon the sarcasm but the Pacific coast 800 is basically a super size Honda Helix 250 because those are the only two that I know that have a built-in trunk like that yes I understand that the Honda Helix is a scooter but they do have similarities what do you expect come on it's Honda they're great at what they do

    • @advancedinvestors
      @advancedinvestors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha. Hard to compare a scooter to an 800cc but I getcha on the trunk. Thing is....... Trunk has become one of my favorite things on this bike not to mention the most comfy bike ever (full discretion. Corbin seat).
