One thing to shout out as a "Best" for 2024 should be the official WWE Vault TH-cam channel, which has just been killing it with all manner of obscure, forgotten, & previously never shown to the public footage & matches. Kanyon portraying Mortis in 2003, Amazing Red's only (dark) match in WWE, Nunzio winning the Cruiserweight Title in Italy, Dusty Rhodes' actual final match in FCW, and both Minoru Tanaka & Dump Matsumoto competing in a WWF/E ring are just a handful of the kinds of things you'll find on the channel, and the fact that it's an official WWE thing is astounding. Hell, just this week they put up a 1998 Funkin' Dojo match between Kurt Angle & Christian Cage (w/ Jim Cornette)! Just an absolute treasure trove of content from this year alone... and they even recently uploaded the AWA WrestleRock Rumble (plus a behind the scene video about that & the event itself)!
For me, Oba Femi is one of the most enjoyable individuals in all of wrestling. Dude is ridiculously entertaining and is an easy pick for future main event talent.
A few others worth mentioning though they may not the biggest moments: 1. Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley 2. The OG Bloodline vs. The Bloodline 2.0 3. Private Party win the AEW Tag Team Championship for the first time since signing with AEW in 2019. 4. R-Truth wins his first Wrestlemania match. 5. The introduction of WWE mid-card titles for women.
Brian when I went to Wrestlecon back in 2023, I had 3 people that I had to meet, Mickie James, Gangrel and you. I remember we spoke briefly about how we both became fans around the same time so watching your channel for the past 11 years feels very personal to me cause I related to a lot of what you said and memories you shared. I wish you nothing but continued success.
Honorable mentions: - Nic Nemeth as TNA World Champion - Mustafa Ali as X-Divison Champion - WWE Vault - Maven, Undertaker, and Stevie Richards' YT channels - Guilia and Stephanie Vaquer in NXT - Konosuke Takeshita - New Bloodline
I'm really happy that Chelsea Green got a shout-out, she and Piper have been one of the most entertaining acts in the company but Chelsea is so good because she's elevated Piper and made her more than just her muscle. Chelsea and Piper are one of those acts that I don't want to see break up for a while because they're constantly entertaining either in the ring or in promos.
@@khesipresents1885 I mean, she's not getting the push she should, but that doesn't make her any less entertaining. Even if she's not winning, she'll often have a great match and Chelsea has really helped her get more of a personality.
I started watching your channel this year and I feel so stupid not watching you sooner. But at the same time I've watched a ton of your content from over the years. My TH-cam channel of the year for real. As for something great this year, Fraxiom on NXT. Tag team of the year honestly. Their matches this year for the tag team division on NXT has just been insane.
Agreed. As a fan of NJPW I felt that 2024 was a bit lackluster overall imho but Zack Zabre Jr winning finally winning the heavyweight title and Wrestle Kingdom 18 were highlights for me.
@@joshuacoleman8000 NJPW uses defenses as champion as the indicator of a good run as champion as opposed to days of the reign. If Naito had 5+ defenses, that probably would have been good. Naito had 5 reigns but only got above 1 defense 1 time and that was only 2.
The best thing about The New Day segment and partial implosion Is that I understand both Kofi and Woods’ and Big E’s perspective Realistically, Big E could’ve come back to be there for support at any time, since Iike Kofi said, many others have had devastating neck injuries and came back in some way shape or form When Austin had to retire, he came back as Raw GM and even took some spots like getting choke slammed from Kane Kurt Angle had THREE neck surgeries during the prime of his career And even Edge put himself at risk in certain segments during his retirement years But of course, Big E’s injury in particular was unique in that it was stated how E could’ve potentially lost his life
Yeah both are consumed by grief for Big E, and also both men haven’t reached the tag titles in quite a while, so Big E was the scapegoat of their grief and frustration
Definitely because I never would’ve thought both of those things would’ve happened. Especially the WWE working with them or any company for that matter. Brian talking about this channel and how grateful he is got me a bit teary eyed. I've been a watcher and enjoyer since his Wrestling Society X video all the way back in March 2014, where I really started to explore wrestling outside of WWE. I thank you so much Mr. Wregret for helping my wrestling passion continue and grow. Much love and appreciation to you
NXTNA is by FAR my pick for the #1 best thing of 2024. Just like you I have the sinking feeling WWE is going to buy them, but this ride has been the most exhilarating and freshest thing I've seen in wrestling in years.
Honorable mention goes to Je'von Evans, fka Jay Malachi. While not a dominant rise up the card in the traditional sense like you'd see with a Lesnar or Sheamus, Je'von made people take notice with his natural talent and energy. His time in DPW and the independents definitely increased his stock coming in and the NXT crowd would have been more in the know about the Young OG's feats, which helps garner bigger reactions for him and makes him feel like the big deal that he is. I'm not surprised Je'von quickly rose above NXT Lvl Up and got major TV time in the main event slot. He's simply been one of those young geniuses like Roxanne Perez that has that natural charisma that comes through in the ring rather than in promos. And he's got that presence that can easily flip between face and heel without losing what makes Je'von special. His rise is honestly absolutely crazy in the grand scheme of things though. He's already challenging for the NXT Championship in less than his first full TV year in the company, sharing the ring with Randy Orton in a match that truly felt like a young lion being endorsed by a legend AND THE KID'S ONLY FUCKING 20. If this is what he gets up to at just 20 years old, Je'von could really have an extraordinary wrestling career.
Some of my favourites that you didn't mention were the WWE Vault, which is a fantastic treat for wrestling nerds. Consistent time seeing Mark Briscoe on my TV which is always a delight and the creation of the Casino Gauntlet match.
I'm biased as I was there, but my favorite moment of the year is AEW All In. It was amazing, Nigel McGuinness making his wrestling return, Ricochet making his debut, Will Ospreay vs MJF and Bryan Danielson winning the AEW World Title. One of the best nights of my life.
Honestly the best thing in wrestling in 2024 for me is seeing WWE being open for business. This year alone they've worked with several other promotions from All Japan to TNA to NOAH to Marigold to GCW hell even allowing talents for return to their old stomping ground with guys like Johnny Gargano, Ludwig Kaiser, Grayson Waller, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh popping up in AIW, WXW, PWA, ICW and OTT respectively just all around cool stuff that wouldn't have been possible under Vince. Here's hoping we see more of it in 2025.
4:04 and the MEGA HEAT from the fans to Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston on the week after 4:04 was AMAZING!!!! I never thought Woods and Kingston would get heat as HOT as The Dudleys back in their ECW prime, especially Kofi, who was mostly a lovable fan-favorite in his career!

It might be the easy answer but the end of night two of Mania 40 was something. It made me feel a certain way I have not felt about wrestling since I was a kid.
Damn straight. I don't watch wrestling regularly, but I keep up with the results. I got to watch Night 1 with my dad, who's a Golden Era kid, and getting to see the ending of Cody v. Roman with Undertaker finally being content was incredible. To quote Michael Cole, I love professional wrestling.

The main event of night 2 of WM4O is my favorite moment of the year and pretty much one of my favorite moments ever. A perfectly booked match that could have been a clusterfuck but instead delivered 110%. Magnificent.
Thank you Brian for all the amazing work done you have on this channel for the past 11 years! I'm glad it has really paid off well for you and your career, and I can't wait to see more from the channel going into 2025.
So I never really followed TNA, but this year after seeing the NXTNA invasion I'm hyped! Joe Hendry is phenomenal, Jordayne Grace is one of the best women wrestling right now. I really hope Joe Hendry is in the Royal Rumble next year because holy hell thats gonna rock the house.
Day 1 Wregretter here, and I don't wregret a second of it. You've become my standard Wednesday lunch hour watch (hooray 12 noon uploads on the East Coast), and every video is funny, insightful, and right up my alley. Thanks for everything you do pal. As for "best of wrestling you missed," I'd like to add "Long-term storytelling, as a concept." You mentioned things like New Day, Swerve/Hangman, and Cody/Roman, but also Kevin Owens' slow burn heel turn has been terrific, and need I say more about Karrion Kross? Wild how stories are allowed to breathe now, it's so refreshing.
Wregretter since day one (well almost), and I'm happy for you Brian! You're an amazing commentator and deserve every bit of support. Have a safe and happy holidays!
the shoutout for the fans i appreciate it a wild way. i’ve been watching since i was in 8th grade in middle school. i’m 22 now with my birthday wildly on christmas. i’ve been a fan for a long time and Brian you’ve done a great job of keeping me around for at least a decade
As a Vancouver audience member, I want to say in our defence that I don’t think WWE should have expected a loud reaction to LA Knight after that excellent opening match. The decibel meter should have been saved for Sami’s entrance.
One for me is Nigel McGuinness returning at Wembley. The pop, look and overall moment was amazing. Also, to know that he's open to a full time run!!!!!!
Using your honorable mention take about your own highlights this year to say THANK YOU BRIAN, thanks for your awesome Wrestling content, from Berlin Germany! Iam an Attitude Era dude, wasn’t watching Wrestling for almost 2 decades (with some small on and off stints in between) but you and your classic PPV reviews ignited the flame again! Please keep on going, you are a entertaining creator and I love watching your videos! Stay safe and as you are!
With you venturing to the east coast and my reach expanding our circles are so close to overlapping lol. Working with you is definitely a goal for me in 2025.
I think Liv Morgan definitely deserves to be at least mentioned. She's absolutely killed it with her matches and character work, and I love that she's finally gotten a chance to be at the top of the women's division after years of being always on the cusp but not given an actual opportunity; even when she won the title from Rousey, she never was allowed to look like a legitimate champion and it was always a matter of when, not if, ol Ronda got her win and title back. I get it's not everyone's cup of tea (like anything in wrestling ever is), and there have been definite missteps like Bad Blood, but seeing how she's grown from how unbelievably green she was in NXT to be one of their top stars and a bonafide ambassador to the company just brings a smile to my face.
It might be recency bias but my personal best moment in wrestling is this entire past weekend. I produced and was part of a 3 man booth for an all cage match show Saturday for UPW in Rochester NY where i got to watch and call two of my young guys win their first tag team championships. Sunday I produced and solo commentated a show for NCW in Buffalo that had Masha on the card against two very bright up and coming talents Ava Brooks Xondra Lee. Plus I got to see our mutual buddy Pete Pappas which is always a pleasure.
Man that crowd in Lyon was amazing. I hope the WWE comes back here for another televised show, maybe in a bigger arena? We managed to make the world discover a 90s soccer/party chant, and remain on topic with our chants throughout the whole show, adding to the experience
I've stopped watching wrestling regularly but I try to keep my ear to the ground whenever there is positivity. That said, my honorable mentions are; -Bull Nakano FINALLY being induced into the WWE Hall of Fame -Private Party FINALLY winning the tag titles -Mina Shirakawa, period -Davey Boy Smith Jr. winning the All Japan Triple Crown -The in-ring return of Nigel Guinness -The manly tears of Takayama-mania -Mark Briscoe winning the ROH world title at Supercard of Honor
18:23 Hey Brian, german here: The Berlin crowd here Was chanting "Berlin, Berlin, wir fahren nach Berlin" or in english "Berlin, Berlin, we're driving to Berlin"
Congrats on 11 years Brian. I’ve been there since the beginning and watch older videos from time to time and remember where I was in life time videos dropped
Happy 11 years Zane! I’ve been a Wregretter since I think 2016 2017? Been a massive fan of your content and seeing some of your stuff outside of TH-cam as well. Keep up the amazing work!
The best moment for me in 2024 was Eddie Kingston being a triple crown champion. There are very few moments in wrestling where I legitimately was emotional and happy for that person. The Mad King one of them. For a guy who has busted his ass for so long and never won a championship, FINALLY got rewarded and held three.NJPW strong openweight,ROH world heavyweight and the first ever AEW Continental champion. As corny and cliche it is to say Eddie Kingston is the prime example of hard work benefiting from the rewards. It couldn't happen to a better guy,I hope he recovers from injury and has a better 2025.
I've been to two wrestlemanias in my life. 22 and 40. I wasn't old enough to appreciate 22 for what it was but 40 is a weekend I will not forget until the day I die.
One thing I'm looking forward to in 2025 is the very first 2 weeks of wrestling. NOAH THE NEW YEAR on New Years Day, Wrestle Dynasty and Wrestle Kingdom on the 4th and 5th, WWE Raw debuting on Netflix on... you-know-what day, it'll be baller!
I first encountered Joe Hendry when I was watching WCPW. His team up with Joseph Conners had me hooked but after the rebrand I lost interest in the product. Fast forward to 2024 and I’m blown away by Wrestlemania 40 and start watching WWE regularly since the rise of Super Cena. One night I’m watching NXT and THAT song plays and I lost my mind. I instantly started googling what he’d been up to and I’m just so damn proud of him. I Believe In Joe Hendry!
It was truly amazing to see the continuation of the tradition of every 10th Mania crowning a forever midcarder who had become very popular to varying degrees of success… Happened to Bret Hart, to Krispin Wah, to Daniel Bryan and now Cody Rhodes. Side note: I thought he was going to do a “Yo Adrian, I did it” speech to his father and wife. I mean, they were in Philly…
Watching this channel since 2019. Another great countdown and video from you Brian. Keep up the good work and sending you the best of luck and good thoughts from Romania🇷🇴!
jack perry getting his shine along with osprey cassidy and my fellow kiwi jay white have been my favorite parts of wrestling this year , i would have said jey uso too but his run as ic champ was dissapointing
One of my top moments of the year has to be Will Ospreay’s “Bruv I am the feeling” promo. As someone who only got exposed to him once he started appearing on AEW that promo was the final push to cement him as my new favorite wrestler of the current era.
That one, long, BEAUTIFUL from Jey walking out of the arena to Sami walking through the Bell Center, through a sea of ADORING home province fans HAS to be one of the BEST camera shots in wrestling.

We're thankful for you, my man.
Best in the business.

😂😂😂
Chelsea Green deserves her Zack Rider moment at WrestleMania. She deserves it.
My #1 is the debut of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. So hyped for their 2025 shows
Using your honorable mention take about your own highlights this year to say THANK YOU BRIAN, thanks for your awesome Wrestling content, from Berlin Germany!
Seeing the first of your End of Year videos in my notifications made my day!
This comment is absolutely disgusting!!
Cheers to another 11 years. Always look forward to your content. Thanks for entertaining us all.
Yes sir! Looking forward to this all year, thanks Brian!
I've been here since you reviewed the WWE album. Glad to have been apart of your journey man, def wanna plan a trip to see you live!
I've stopped watching wrestling regularly but I try to keep my ear to the ground whenever there is positivity. That said, my honorable mentions are;
-Bull Nakano FINALLY being induced into the WWE Hall of Fame
-Private Party FINALLY winning the tag titles
-Mina Shirakawa, period
-Davey Boy Smith Jr. winning the All Japan Triple Crown
-The in-ring return of Nigel Guinness
-The manly tears of Takayama-mania
-Mark Briscoe winning the ROH world title at Supercard of Honor
Congrats Brian! Thank you for all the awesome content. Excited to see what you create in 2025.
Keep up the amazing work!
i could not agree more with one thing: I LOVE PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Was there too!!
You deserve the all the success and support that you’ve received! Congrats!
15:52 That Drew McIntyre in a hoodie that is my favorite quote in 2024!
Congratulations 🥳🥳🥳 on 11 years!!!
I had to go for a walk and reflect after that New Day segment
I first encountered Joe Hendry when I was watching WCPW. His team up with Joseph Conners had me hooked but after the rebrand I lost interest in the product.
Fast forward to 2024 and I’m blown away by Wrestlemania 40 and start watching WWE regularly since the rise of Super Cena. One night I’m watching NXT and THAT song plays and I lost my mind. I instantly started googling what he’d been up to and I’m just so damn proud of him.
I Believe In Joe Hendry!
Congrats on 11 years. I haven't watched wrestling in I don't know how long but enjoy what you do here
You falling trying to do the Joe Henry turn is the best part of the video
It was truly amazing to see the continuation of the tradition of every 10th Mania crowning a forever midcarder who had become very popular to varying degrees of success…
Happened to Bret Hart, to Krispin Wah, to Daniel Bryan and now Cody Rhodes.
Side note: I thought he was going to do a “Yo Adrian, I did it” speech to his father and wife. I mean, they were in Philly…
My personal best moment was actually to sing Maki Ito’s theme with Maki at Seattle last month 😅
11 years 🤯 remember coming across your channel back in 2014. It's great to see you're still going strong. Definitely one of my favourite youtubers!
Bryan Danielson's title quest/retirement run and GUNTHER's title win definitely come to mind.
Danielson’s win made his AEW run worth it alone, but Bryan will be Bryan and he brings so much extra to whatever he goes
I was at raw Monday when the crowd booed the shit out of the new day on Monday. The booing was friggin LOUD.
The recent return videos for Julia Hart are some of the best any wrestling company has ever done.
Well thank you for your continued awesome work, young man!
Always love your year end/ yearly wrap up videos. Truly some of my favorite videos of yours 🙏🏻
My favorite moment(s) of the year is the quality bangers you’ve been releasing 😁
One of my top moments of the year has to be Will Ospreay’s “Bruv I am the feeling” promo. As someone who only got exposed to him once he started appearing on AEW that promo was the final push to cement him as my new favorite wrestler of the current era.
This is the answer
Man...11 years already, I'm getting old!!! Found you around Mania 30, thank you for keeping me company since then!
I think Bron Breakker has had a fantastic year
Not even an honorable mention for NXT WOMEN'S ROSTER is crazy.
That one, long, BEAUTIFUL from Jey walking out of the arena to Sami walking through the Bell Center, through a sea of ADORING home province fans HAS to be one of the BEST camera shots in wrestling.
Thank you Brian ive been a fan since 2015 and you re gained my fandom for wrestling you are the best!
I would argue that Maven’s TH-cam channel was great for wrestling this year.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cm Punk in WWE is in general one of the best things this year
Saki Kashima winning the High Speed Title @ Stardom’s Philly show in April, was a high point for me.
No thank you Brian for your knowledge and laughter here's to another 10 years again thank you
Thank you Brian
11 more years
Great video man! 2024 was a great year for wrestling
