  • This is a test of my recently bought 1949 Federal Electric Company/Enterprise Model 2. This siren was installed in Vincent, Iowa and it was used as a tornado siren until the early 2010s. It was then replaced by a Whelen WPS 2903. I bought it off of Facebook marketplace for $750! It came with the housing and a control box which were both in great condition. This siren runs off of 110v which is perfect for my setup. I plan on using it as a tornado/hurricane evacuation siren in my hometown in Florida. I would like to get the brushes replaced and possibly the bearings but I'm not sure how to safely work on it yet. Any suggestions in the comments would be appreciated!

I know! So many people neglect them. They pop up on ebay and facebook marketplace every now and then. They can ship easy too!
