Hello, I have been a fan of Sandro since I was kid. My family is from Puerto Rico and I was born and raised in the Midwest. Every summer I’d go to the island and stay with my grandparents and other family members, to learn more about my roots. It was during one of those trips that I learned about Sandro. I even met him during a concert. My friend and I snuck into his hotel room…..this was in 1975. Sandro is known worldwide……of course especially the Latin countries. He did a concert in Madison Square Garden, but he never really did that cross over that Julio Iglesias did. He would have been magical here in America. In fact he had a better voice than any of the other Latin singers that have come here to America. He was a great actor/singer. I have never heard any other singer with Sandros style. He had an amazing voice. I still watch his movies and I have the picture of me with him. Thank you for featuring him in your show. In fact I don’t think I would have ever gone to an Elvis concert, I liked him but, Sandro was “SANDRO!” Unfortunately, his cigarette habit took him away from us too soon.

Sandro was great! He was before my time, but I discovered him through some of my favourite local rock bands, because he was quite an influence, and they'd cover his songs. I got to see him live twice, and he was quite the showman, and in complete control of his audience, particulary his hardcore female fans who were all in love with him. His shows were quite the experience. You should watch some videos to see his presence on stage =)

But if you enjoy Latin American music, Argentina has great rock bands (Sandro started with rock and then switched to melodic), and if you don't know Luis Miguel yet (Mexican), he's also a great performer and possibly the best vocals in Spanish (in my opinion, he might be one of the best vocals worldwide).
