The 530d is the absolute sweet spot in the BMW lineup imo

I have a 2018 530d G31 M Sport, I've had it for nearly 2 years, it's been great, over the nearly 2 years of ownership I have never reset the average Miles per gallon and it still shows 50.5 MPG as an average over nearly 2 years, that's pretty good considering how I drive it, mileage now is 23,000 something and I'm just about ready to change the rear Pirreli tyres, probably no later than 25,000 miles or before depending on tread depth, I'm not down to the treadwear indicator yet but I'm close. All I would say is if your thinking on buying one, get the M Sport, it's a terrific car and you wont be dissatisfied with either build quality or the performance, it's a rocket on wheels, honestly there isn't much out there that in my opinion is a better vehicle..plus the engines can be modified quite easily for extra power, in standard form though the 530d in M sport is phenomenal in its acceleration and performance, not to mention the fuel economy. One last thing is to buy the the correct oil and UPI oil filter and change the oil regularly, I changed the oil myself at 9000 miles and then it had its 1st service at BMW at 19000 miles, I'm now on about 23,500 ish and I think I'll change the oil again. Like I said get the M Sport 530d...its really the best, I'm a bit of a car nut, I have about 9 cars including other BMW and Porsche so what I'm saying is over say at least the last 30 odd years of being mad about cars...I can tell you the 530d M Sport is probably the best car I have ever owned, and believe me I've owned a lot of cars. I have a modern full size Range Rover and althoughitsxa beast of a machine the BMW is just so much nicer to drive, it's very predictable, just point it where you want to go....and go...for overtaking even at 100 plus it just picks up speed and flys by, and the sound from the exhaust as you do that is like a V8...you can hear it....like I said its probably one of the best cars I've owned out of hundreds over the years...you dont even need to slam the doors shut, one little push and let go and they shut beautifully...ok that's it from me. Average consumption around 5,8l / 100km are realistic in Eco Pro when you drive carefully.
All in all I got mine to 6.3l /100km in average. Great engine. If I drive sporty on the Autobahn it goes up to 6.8l average consumption. I reset it every time I go to the gas station. (5.8-6.8l average consumption)

Its 150 kilos but the g30 has more torque! Actually this g30 has more toreque than my 535d f10! :O
@@tamasfodor6774 your old 535d! Actually the f10 535d had 630 Nm. The G30 30d has 620 Nm. Just at the beginning there was a 535d with 600 Nm.
But the torque is not interesting. Its the power. The new 30d has more power.
Its tuned up slightly to the 330.. i have the 330d xdrive f31 and love it.

why is the gps tracker about 10kph slower as the normal display?
sprayinc on every car it's like that. it's a kind of safety i guess. exemple: speedlimit 110, you think you are at 110 with your car but in reality u are slower (2-3kmph less), like that you have a little safety limit for the radar control and also crashing at 107-108 it's giving you a little more chance insted of 110.

Thomas Wjsiqusc It's mostly because the GPS speedo lags, so when the car is accelerating, the GPS doesn't keep up with the real speed and it's always 1-1,5 seconds behind. The faster the car is accelerating more difference there is between real speed and what GPS shows. GPS is only very accurate when the speed of the car is constant and then it receives stable data in equal time intervals. All car speedo's also show a bit more than real speed, but not by as much as it seems in this video, it's mostly because of the calibration is done like that on purpose, because not all car models of the same model are the same , some have bigger, some have smaller wheels, and that affects how the speedo reads the speed, so a small difference is there to compensate that, since the speedo in the car is never 100% accurate anyway.

The speedo is not showing the true speed because of safety. The GPS is showing the real speed. Has absolutely nothing to do with lagging or anything else like that.

rapalo89 of course :) 530i is 2 liter 4 cylinder this is 3 liter 6 cyl diesel. much more Torque efficiency and power :)
bohnenverkäufer no. There’s only abt 20 hp difference and a 0.3 sec difference in acceleration. I wouldn’t call this much greater. Because the 4 cylinder is also turbocharged. These days diesels aren’t that Efficient any more.

Having owned a 2013 a6 3.0tdi and now a 2016 a4 3.0tdi I can say after testing the new 5 series it's quieter than the a6 easily but there's a new a6 out this year so will be a better comparison
I like the sound of the Inline 6 Engine and thats why i like when it is so loud in the interior.
