I lived in Mallorca for six years and I can tell you that there is a lot of aggressive and dangerous driving, close to zero respect for rules of the road (or any rules for that matter), and cars will regularly go through zebra crossings while you are on them and will not stop for you to cross. There is a huge amount of swearing, abuse, and obscene gestures. Mallorca, is in many ways, not a civilized place at all. Sad to say, but it´s the truth. Mallorca is a place where disrespect has become normalized.
