One bad thing are switch games rarely get a discount. On my ps4 I got games like for honor and mgs5 for like 5 dollars. On the eShop the cheapest AAA games are like 40 dollars.
and even when they do, it looks like a large reduction but the reality is the base price is usually that tiiiiny bit higher on Nintendo machines, so the saving is rarely worth it - personally I use my Switch for the Nintendo titles only, anything else I will typically get on steam for a fraction of the price.

Mate, I feel you so bad, games these days are not the same anymore, but Nintendo is kicking ass, I'm a huge fan of Metroid as well and beat zero mission and fusion back in the days and later on super metroid, but never played the primes series, the prime remastered is spectacular, I beat it like a couple weeks ago and I'm impressed how Nintendo is doing, I'm hype for this coming direct hopefully there will be big surprises and as well for the next Nintendo console. Great video, two thumbs up!
They're a nice little console really. I take mine on the go when I go to cons and the like, and use my phone to hotspot so I can do online gaming should I desire! Enjoy your new console! For what it is, its an impressive little machine, especially for the pricepoint!

I bought a switch lite too in 2024. Back in March and now I have 100+ hours on Tears of the Kingdom. The switch reignited my passion for games again after a 2 year hiatus. Oh btw there is a huge sale going on till the 16th. You can get Mario Odyssey and splatoon 3 for 30% off. As well as a bunch of other games
I hadn't really played games since my teenage years (early 2010s) until I got a Switch last year, the Switch got me back into gaming again too. Definitely recommend Super Mario Odyssey that's been my favorite game so far that I've played. And there are still many more games I haven't tried but am looking forward to playing!
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is awesome. Bioshock Remastered collection is on there too. Also try Breath of the Wild, South Park The Stick of Truth, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Metroid Dread, Astral Chain, Persona 5 Royal. So many different types of games.
I've had my switch since launch in 2017. I loved it so much I got the oled version in 2021 I was originally going to pack my old switch away but ultimately decided to mod it. And I'm glad I did because modding it unlocks so much more potential like emulating DS and PS1 games and obviously everything before those systems. Ever since I modded my old one it feels like I use it more than my new one.

So over 7 years ago I got my Nintendo Switch on Christmas day. After over 4 years it was not damaged until the 5th year. It started having issues with the fan and basically the console it self. It can damage it even if you can't see it. Now I know you may be wondering reading this comment. Why should you worry? Why am I saying this. The Nintendo Switch has a life span of over 6-10 years. As of right now. My Nintendo Switch still lives but it is starting to die a bit. The issues I got were seeing cracks on my screen because of the heat from the fan not working. And currently this year I got a brand new Nintendo Switch OLED. If I were you I would buy a screen protector, a case protector and if your on the go buy a case carrier for your Nintendo switch that's the helpful tips for you. Well I hope this helps you and enjoy your brand new Nintendo Switch. You earned yourself a new subscriber 👍

$80 for ps+ is a crime :(. I used to appreciate that ps+ let you play the monthly games indefinitely as long as you had a subscription, but $80 is way too much for the few good games you get over a year.

One thing that sucks having a switch is how small is the memory space, so you need to buy a SD card to expand it. Overall it's a good console but has pretty expensive games.
I find that Nintendo allowing us to use SD cards instead of proprietary storage cards is a huge relief. The PSVita had this issue, and it made their storage cards very expensive
Nintendo confirmed themselves that they'll reveal their next console sometime between now and March of next year. Personally I think waiting is a good idea. But if you really want to play some games right now, you could always get a Switch, buy the Switch 2 when it comes out, transfer your data and sell your initial Switch

hope you enjoy it, I never liked the Switch and had it since launch. No interaction between friends which has caused every online game i've played that isn't mario kart 8 has died super quickly. The joycons are the worst modern controller i've experienced and while the 'pro controller' is better, it's over priced and not any better than xbox or ds5. Got 4 Wii U pro controllers that isn't compatible with the switch for what reasons? No gyro can't be since they allow third party controllers that break after 2 weeks. Hopeful for their next system!
I will admit that the social aspect of the switch is a bit disappointing, I think Nintendo intended to promote local social interactions rather than online.

Miiverse used to solve this issue since you could make a post for a games community that you're hosting and people would be able to see and hop on. Switch is a guessing game if anyone is online. I tried with discord communities but remember we are paying for their 'service' that feel like a chore to use.
@Milkiy-Hazard it could be worse though, paying $80 a year for online on my PS5 is definitely not worth it, Playstation use to have a feature just like miiverse, it was called "communites" on ps4 but they unfortunately got rid of it. I find that Nintendo offers more for far less, though. Everyone has an opinion on it, but I personally like how Nintendo pushes local multiplayer rather than online.

Red dead redemption sucks on Nintendo you want Nintendo go buy the exclusive games not the third party games Nintendo can’t handle all the third party party games that they need to be streamed it’s very sad to see Nintendo being the weakest console instead of being as powerful as the Xbox and PlayStation we have today I can see Nintendo failing again on their next console that releases in 2025 on call of duty games they have a 10 year contract with Microsoft like PlayStation but Sony isn’t ever going to fail like Nintendo since Sega stopped making consoles Nintendo cares less about competition who’s better

Its a bad buy, the switch 2 is gonna be released. Even if you dont plan on buying the 2 but the price of switch will drop significantly after the new device launched.
Well atleast the games will drop in price and it whould be the best time to collact or invest on the switch games because the switch games will be become super expensive overtime so buy what you want in the next 5 years before the prices go up
