      The top thing has to be the improvement of the ear..Which chords can go with which scales tones..But, learning to play with other musicians and know where they are headed is up there....Especially, when there are more jazzy improvisations involved...It is a faithful process indeed...

    This is an extremely powerful sharing of high quality information but the delivery was rushed.
    Each section should have been released in separate videos for the same amount of time.
    The viewer was never why the chords worked so well before JP moved on to teaching something else.

    • @brianhall5259
      @brianhall5259 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh good feedback brother Roney. But he does go into more detail in the Gospel Music Training Center I believe. www.GospelMusicTraining.com

      Brian Hall The video does state that it is the second in a possible series although the first one if uploaded already to TH-cam is either not clearly identified or has a bigger gap in beginner to advanced concepts than readily seen and believed.
      I watched this video multiple times back to back to see where the transitions were placed that were creating the forks in the road and exit ramps lol
      As solid as the content is and capable of advancing one’s skills in understanding and elevating the audience’s capabilities to both play and compose, the delivery made the video a rodeo.
      The other videos that JP has created were breakdowns of various songs which are great and another animal altogether. It is just that this video on music theory immediately gives the impression in being the second video (of a series or not) that it would be easier to follow along and understand.
      I did the work to pull the benefits of getting the lifetime value of the meat 🥩 provided but I am not sure that others are going to have the same commitment levels.
      Swimming pools must label the depths of each section and as preachers and teachers, we must do the same or announce early who is most likely to learn without getting potentially lost.
      One funny thing is that the hard copy course that I bought many years which was written by Jermaine had all of the information that I eventually learned from someone else is the same information presented in this video!
      This is exactly what people are looking for right after they feel comfortable in knowing how various chords are formed.
      This video’s content is the key in understanding the context and timing of when to use the chords.
      I’m looking forward to the next video of expanding length and width!
      Be blessed!
