So true!! I’m in a class where I’m like, the only good, nerdy kid and it can be lonely since I like different things than everyone else, but I get a lot of respect and people are kind to me
I'm a nerd to and even tho everyone in my class behaves bad and all they look up to me and ask me to help them and praise me for being a nerd.
Im smart… not nerd (no disrespect you guys are amazing) I have a good friend group but I just cant see myself not hating the teachers and being nice to them 😭

Tips on how to show your teachers kindness!:
-give them a card or gift on teacher’s day, or before any school breaks(winter break, summer break, etc.)
-say good morning/afternoon when you can
-respect the class’ rules
-if it’s international women’s or men’s day, say “Happy International women’s/men’s day!”
-help in the class sometimes(putting down/up chairs is an example)
These are just some simple things
people would say to me im " teachers pet " but actually I do that every time ( not gift card sometimes )

Focus on yourself
Don't worry about being confident and stuff it does really matter. Focus on getting through the day and getting into a good college. At the end if the day no one will remember if you were awkward when you did a presentation
Don't talk to school counselors. If the counselor feels like it they can tell cps, the principal, your parents etc everything you said

For Advice#12, please be cautious. Some people are very sensitive to scents and perfumes. Some school boards don't allow scents. The best way to smell good without disturbing others is to keep good hygiene.

I remember my mom said i was allergic to perfume. It also smells really bad to me, and i feel sick when someone wears it and goes to me. So this tip frim you i think is very good advice.

Do stuff that YOU wanna do you’ll always sometimes feel left out, but remember you’ll meet new people in dif classes, and you may not always be friends with some one through out the year. This year I joined band and I was nervous I wasn’t gonna have anyone but it was one of my best choices, I got so many opportunities and had lots of fun!

ngl i don't get that one, is it like an american thing? because i just have a class, 4 classes per grade, but only differende is the people that go there and one is non-music class since i go to music school. like you can't choose or change anything, just don't get what you mean by choosing classes

advice #8, PLEASE FOLLOW. im nice to teachers and i get called a teachers pet even though thats not what they are but its fine. teachers work so hard to create lesson plans and come up with activities and more. as students, we control how hard we make their job. in 6th grade at 7:15 am in the morning kids would scream and talk during tests and my teacher would have to take an advil every 1st period. its hard! please make it easier on them by not trying to be cool and funny by disrespecting them.
yea but not all teachers deserve respect, like i'm not talking about your avarage teacher that is just strict, i'm talking about teachers that call you retarded for not knowing what she has to teach and the teachers that don't teach you anything, and in test at the end there are things she had to teach you but she didn't and that wasn't even in the books
as in respect, i mean to not bash a teacher or use cruel jokes and interrupt the classes. no one needs their class to be interrupted. its just mutual to respect someone. in general, is what im saying. everyone deserves respect and you should still speak to a mean teacher respectfully and to not scream or call them names, then you will stoop to there level. stand up for yourself and reporting them to the principal or vice principal would be better.
I agree, but respect goes both ways. If a teacher won’t respect me, I won’t respect them. (I mean, not to their face at least I am WAY to scared to disrespect a teacher to their face)

Advice 25: Think about when someone does that and u see it, is it embarrassing? No, so do it, it's not embarrassing if u can see other people do it and think its not embarrassing. I always do this and it helps a lot because your confidence could raise higher!
13 year old here! My grades have been drastically slipping as my mental health has been very up and down. This is really helping me get back on track!

I'm an 11 yr old ! And yes despite the fact I'm young and many might think that I'm immature but no. I'm mature enough and I need to take my studies seriously as I've been undergoing depression for the past few months because I was beated by my asain mom for getting 25/30 on maths 😢. Yeah , it hurts but I try not to show it. I'm really trying to improve my marks even more tho I'm already in top 10 good students of my class ( 3rd rank of last year ) but I need to keep up with it. I'm in 6th and I hate the amount of things we've gotta study but yeah I'm trying my best❤

for advice #12 check your schools rules and make sure that its allowed since many people dont do well with scents, also do not spray it in class!! spray it in the hallway, outside of the school, or in the bathrooms even
that's so true, my history teacher last year would get so mad when people sprayed perfume in the classroom

I’ve learned that stayed focused in class, helps you more than studying a lot at home.
You can literally study for 3hours straight, but if you haven’t listen in class, it wouldn’t help.
In fact I barely study at home.
Some ppl in my class work really hard at home,but don’t get the results they want because they don’t pay attention
Your so right I just take notes during the teaching g and study for 30 minutes only a day. Helped me so much more

The one where it was “don’t be shy to raise your hand if you know the answer” that’s literally me, I know the answer but just too shy to put my hand, then I hesitate and when I decided to put my hand up someone already said the answer and then I regret it. Ty very very much for all these tips ❤❤

Just focus on studies, be good student and have good company, maintain hygiene and stay organised. Be amicable with teachers.
About the note taking (advice #18), re-reading your notes are not as effective as you think, do active recall instead. When you take notes, turn it into a QnA, then when you revise, cover the answer and try to recall what it was before looking at the answer. That way, you'll know which topic still needs more practice. Advice from college student 😁👍this really saved me in my 1st year when I was really busy and had to cram every single test the night before

This makes me feel even worse about my school ☠ I can’t even do half of these things cause my school doesn’t let me. We don’t have clubs, we don’t even have electives, we can’t wear anything expect the uniform, no perfume, no makeup, we don’t have a school library and I literally do get called a nerd and the kids in my school are just so borinh

I feel like a lot of these can vary from person to person. For me notes and flash cards don't help that much bc even if I try to actually use them I'll end up getting distracted. And the one about breakfast making you feel better, if I eat breakfast I feel sick all morning so not all of these work for everyone just use the ones that work best for you :D

For the scent, you don’t have to have the same scent perfume and lotions and scrubs. I use a desser haze scrub, a jasmine lotion, and coconut spray and it smells AMAZING
For Advice #18, if your notes are going to be on a test or going to be important make sure to write it down!! But make sure it’s in words that you will remember unless it isn’t possible!

I like most of the advice in this video but for taking notes, just write down the really important stuff or stuff you can study, or if a teacher repeats something multiple times, write it down. Don’t stress about the tiny details 😊

Here is some more advice!!
You dont have to spend so much time making flashcards, (you can use quizlet) and if you are the type who doesnt learn with fladh cards (like me) then trust me, just fond another method instead of putting all the trouble into making flash cards when they dont even help. I also EXTREMELY recommend cleaning your bag at the end of every week and minimmizing the stuff you bring to class and only bring what is necessary. This way your bag will be koghtwr, you will feel more organized, and you wont have to bring much to class. If you are going to your first hear of school, you dknt have to get a supet nice backpack or school supplies because no one will ever care about it in middle school (unless you are doing it for yourself) I also recommend getting a divider/binder so you have everything for class so you wont have to constantly go back to your locker.
i'm already over that age and can confirm those are actual tips and everyone does this!

Some advice I have is to just pay attention, it’s obvious and simple but it makes a BIG difference. Stopping to doodle or talk to your friend causes you to miss out on the important little pieces of information that your teacher is telling you. Listen to what your teacher is saying because then during exams at least you know that all the information is in your head you just have to bring it forward

How to convince parents to let you do stuff pls
(Like wearing makeup, buying new backpacks, etc when your parents don’t give you allowance and do t let you have a part time job)
For makeup i recommend just using mascara, lip gloss and like not a full face, ur parents will probably let you do that. Also for a new backpack say that you dont have enough space in ur current one or its not practical and you would like a fresh new one

Also read what you had in every class that day and what you will read next class even if your teacher sometimes skips chapters, if you know what she will skip read what you will learn and read the skipped ones later. If you don't have time to read everything then read the hardest subjects or chapters.
