@@scptime1188 it's most likely this, they want the cockroach that's in the case to be "pristine" dead, not missing legs or anything, as well the ones on the ground don't matter as they could have been stepped on or whatnot. Hiding it in the phone also allows the person to be holding it in their hand without suspicion

Good scam. But the one thing you guys don't account for is the cameras placed inside the shops. Everything from dropping the roaches to the fake pest exterminators is captured. Even if you got away with it, you'd all still be identified by the cops once they take a look at the video footage (security cams).

In the heat of the moment, small things like cabinets are often forgotten, it's all about the misdirection and necessity the hustlers add into it that helps get the the shop people to just go along with the scam
even if he didn't they would have figured it out
The best way to do that would be to change the watches to fake ones so they wouldnt notice a thing

They probably ask owner or maybe a person that was in applied for a job and put it up but i asked my self this same question lol

If they are properly ensured, it isn't really a big deal for the shop owner. It is much worse if only a few watches get stolen, because the "excess" could be similar to, or greater than the value of the stolen goods.
This is the first time that a scam is actually worth it. I only see scams for 100-200 most so far was 1,500 but this is the most they got

they use the CCTV of the shop cameras and then use there mics that they have on them
Same way they got them to leave the secure display cabinet unlocked.
My best guess is for legal issues they probably contact the shop owners first and actually get their permission and the wonky person who isn’t actually in on it is the mark

This woman is a criminal. Liam Morrison and David Joyce were both being investigated for "assaulting" her at picnic in the park at Thirsk just a couple months before she entered celebrity big brother. 100's of people witnesses what happened and they all say no one touched her. North Yorkshire police dropped the investigation the day after she quit big brother and offered mr Joyce the opportunity to become the "victim" of her false claims. He's too nice though like that Ryan Thomas that she also accused. The pair of them should really have made an official complaint vs her.

Well it’s obviously fake due to many reasons. Also, if you’d just been burgled, wouldn’t you call the police?
Fake is almost never a good word to use. If you meant to say that the store operator was an actor or in on it, I'd say that you're wrong.
That said, the store _owner_ would have had to have known about it and allowed it both for legal reasons and for there to be multiple cameras and at least one microphone in the shop to use, which wouldn't have been normal security cameras.
But the con itself could have been executed entirely without the store operator knowing.
The fact that the display cabinets didn't have locks is _slightly_ suspicious, but not in itself unlikely considering that the watches weren't necessarily especially valuable or anything. The scam could have been pulled off regardless of the cabinets anyway.

That's funny. They're emptying all the cabinets yet the mark is standing right next to the window and the cabinet looks untouched from the outside. I know this is all fake and they're all in on it, but at least make it believable, haha.

What is the council? Is that like a city official? Why would they be inspecting for bugs on the spot?
chibi hungary interesting. We do not have something like that in the US. At least, not exactly. There are health department folks that will inspect businesses to make sure they are not violating public safety, depending on what type of business it is. I can't imagine that happening at a watch store though. More like for places that sell and make food. They don't provide the service of fixing the problems found though. They just cite them, come back to make sure they are fixed and dole out fines for violations.
Actually the 'council' is what we call our local government - i.e. 'City Hall. Among other things they are responsible for monitoring hygiene standards in public spaces and send round health inspectors to look for things like bug infestations. They wouldn't pay for the sort of thing shown in the video though - they would either get the business to organise it or hire a contractor and send them the bill.
How easy it for the police to track down the hustlers. They gotta look for a big ass gray van

I take it you haven't actually played GTA5 then. The jewellery store heist uses bug spray vans and clothing and then you throw tear gas into the vents to knock out the shoppers and workers. Then you smash all the display units and steal all the goods before making your exit.

If I did this scam I would of said it cost like 20-25 pounds and I would of only took like 3-4 things so it isn’t very noticing and if it’s expensive watches u can make about 30020 pound because let’s say the6 take 3 Rolexes a new Rolex costs between 5k-15k and 20 more pounds
