    Visa application changed yearly. When I had mine 23 years ago, we did not set foot in the immigration, no interview at all. I had a medical check-up only and a CFO, then after 2 weeks, I had my K-1 visa approved. I became a US citizen after a little over 3 years after I arrived here in the US.

      Oh wow!! Very interesting! I have some friends that have come to the US on different visas, and they all tell me similar stories - that the process has changed, and seems to continuously change, over time. But now, there are many steps we must complete... The more money the government gives to the embassies, the bigger they get, and the more processes they put in place... it has a lot of inefficiencies, but they are well-funded inefficiencies, that's for sure. LOL
      Thank you for sharing your story!!

    I hate going to the US embassy, since i was failed for my first interview for the reason that, the interviewer told me that im seeking for work in the US and not planning to come back in Ireland. What a heck He is thinking that! I have a good job where i am… i think its just rubbish the way he think why i want to go to America. I just wanted to do shopping and go to the most popular place which is New York City. I was really dis appointed with Him! Now it’s much better that i can apply on line if i wanted to go in America. Less Hassle🤗

      Oh my ! 😮😮 Pardon my thoughts .. at first glance , I asked myself , “ what is Darlene doing with a new guy and kissing him ? What happened to Boris ? “… 😮🥹 I really thought she’s Darlene .. my apologies .. I really thought She looks like Darlene, the wife of the Russian Vlogger , Boris , in The Island Life . They also live in Davao . She sure has a very close resemblance to Darlene .

    Did she stand in that long line? When my wife applied, there was another entrance with no waiting for American citizens with spouses. We didn’t have to wait. Just show my passport and we were in. Maybe they changed the protocol. Congratulations to both of you. Remember, happy wife makes a happy life.

    • @JoeJeejan
      @JoeJeejan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I wasn't allowed inside with her at all, in fact! Only applicants were allowed to wait in the line and to go inside.
      But no, she literally put herself at the front of the whole line. If you watch some of our earliest posted videos (like the one from Dahilayan Adventure Park zipline) you'll see that she doesn't like waiting in lines, LOL 😂 somehow she always ends up going straight to the front of every line 😂

    • @Macjohn1419
      @Macjohn1419 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JoeJeejan, then they changed the protocol. When we went, there was an enormous queue. We walked around to the side and there was another entrance. We went there and I showed my passport and her ID and appointment paperwork. They opened the door and allowed both of us in. Guess we were lucky. I couldn’t go in with her for the interview. I sat on a bench in the hallway until she came out. Interesting experience to say the least. Anyway, congratulations. It will be a new learning experience for both of you when she comes to the US.

    • @JoeJeejan
      @JoeJeejan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wow! That sounds like a good way to do things! It would have been nice if they kept it that way. When we went, I was told to stop my camera and that applicants are the only people allowed in the line... In fact, as the line went forward towards the doors, it was queued up parallel to the sidewalk, and I wasn't even allowed to stand on the sidewalk at a distance! They make everyone wait in the large sea of humanity in the back, back area. That's why I went back to the hotel. She and I had a plan to meet under one of the big trees when she was done, but she was done so quickly that she came back long before we expected!

    My girlfriend was denied her tourist Visa a few weeks ago despite showing she currently has a government licensed/taxed profitable business plus she is a licensed teacher. I sent affidavit of sponsorship along with my passport. I am in a high earning degreed licensed profession with substantial high income history. We were still denied without any reason given. Do you have Any tips or key items that helped your girlfriend get her tourist visa? Or is it just the luck of the draw on the interviewer you receive? The process seems so subjective and it's frustrating they give you no reason or guidance for their decision. I appreciate any response or feedback you can provide on your thoughts. Thanks

    • @JoeJeejan
      @JoeJeejan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If she was doing a tourist visa but told them she was coming to visit you in America, they will deny her because they think that she is going to America to be with you and will overlay her visa.
      She has to file the K1 visa and they won't worry that she will overstay.

      @@JoeJeejan thank you for the response and we are definitely subscribing to your channel. Yes, she was trying to get a tourist Visa. I'm flying there from the USA in November to stay 30days. We will try for the K1 Visa next. Did your girlfriend get a tourist or K1 Visa?

    I do not understand why people are dying to come to America. If you do not have a company to work when you arrive in America the possibility is for you to work in care home or resto. Even if you have doctorate degree.you can not work here with your degree unless ypu have a diploma from one of the universities in the U.S.A. and work experience certificates from any company in the USA. The American dream is over. If you probably come in 70's. Or early 80's

    • @JoeJeejan
      @JoeJeejan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I feel you. And yeah, it's a shame what's happening in America. But the spirit of America, and of the American Dream lives in many of the first generation immigrants. Their sense of gratitude is beautiful, and they don't ask for anything, and they don't expect very much at all. They just want the opportunity. And many of them will do whatever it takes to create something good for the next generation to have it better than them. But I do understand your feelings. But I also think there is going to be a renaissance of the American spirit. I see it in young people, and I see it in people everywhere. I think the pushback is going to be big, and the forces that will implement the next great American era are right below the surface.

      @@JoeJeejan Don't stay out of the US for more than a year at a time (I would try to make it 6 months or so max) or she can be deemed to have abandoned her residency. She can apply for citizenship after 3 years of marriage and then that issue is gone for good.
