Generally I use a bag only unless there is enough surface area for a bipod and bag. I've ditched bipod's after using them on the first tire that is a flat arrangement like you have set up here.
Good video. You are right, you have to practice to see what works for you. That said, being able to proficiently shoot from a single point contact with the bag under the balance point of the gun is the ONE technique that will almost always work. Not saying it is the best technique for every situation, just saying that when in doubt, it is usually a safe choice that will work.

Nrlh factory division is a pretty interesting one, not much coverage on it though. All the nrl Hunter stuff is pretty damn close to the matches you’re talking about.
Have heavy 25lb and light weight 12lb and under rifles depending on what match/competition we go to. Prs has evolved into mostly heavy guns but production is an option as is tactical 308. Tactical games sniper challenge is definitely lite weight rifle and the same for NRL hunter lite gun division. So there is definitely numerous lite gun competitions just have to time them right. These also double as my hunting rifles. Prs will probably never go back to lite rifles anytime soon and nether will bench rest, F class, or ELR. It’s just the way it is.
Comment: what’s your go-to position when shooting off of tires?
Struggle 😅
These style of videos are my favorite of the ones you produce and of extreme value to me as someone new to this sport. Thank you for this.
Thanks, I appreciate that.
Thank you for sharing the knowledge -- Great looking rifle too.
Thank you sir.
Was just at Missouri Mile today for my second prs match.. but of course no tires this time, but good tips!
Thanks fer sharing always great content for PRS/NRL shooting discipline.
Great advice.
Thanks
Great Video! Love these types! Good job keeping it simple and real! Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
That was super helpful. Thanks.
No problem. Thanks for watching.

It’s true, it can all be done with just a bag on most barricades these days.
Great info

Yep I agree completely.
The Ckyepod seems like it works well for these offset/canted props vs the atlas. Have you made the switch to the CP for your "go to" bipod?"
Great question. I’m not ready to give up the Atlas for PRS just yet, but the Ckyepod is awesome for field matches!
Yay! My vote counted
-and I run tires on my truck
😂👍
How you like that foundation stock?
still deciding, but it definitely reduces vibration.
Awesome. These are great. Waaaay too many benchrest videos out there, not as much about this
Cool. Thanks for watching.
Are you shooting at BRRC?
No. They don’t like “tactical” shooting anymore. Turned into a bunch of fudds. Kicked a bunch of good people out. 👎
@@PrecisionRifleNetwork Well that sucks. I was considering joining. Where do you recommend?

@@PrecisionRifleNetwork Oof. Those are brutal far for me. St. Louis area feels rough in terms of practical shooting. Sad.
Show vertical tires, they are tricky
Bring back the field-style sniper matches from the 80s and 90s. All this barricade benchrest with 30lb 6 Dashers is just plain dumb.
I won’t say dumb just yet, but I completely agree with the field match sentiment.
