Thank you bro for explaining the two ESC's the ZTW and Hobbywing and you couldn't do it any better. Im not hyper right now to run out and get the Hobbywing due to I rather wait it out just in case of issues that may happen you know how ppl are nothing has ever happen to an Hobbywing ESC's down talk the ZTW I never had a issue and I had four not once. As I said they are pretty much the same ESC's. Great job I'll be running in again when you put something up. I have a brother and we run a gym with boxing wrestling and MMA that we do give aways and reward our youth for what they do we have done Iphones 11s to 13s and Samsung's note 10 plus to ultra 22s all from our own pockets but enjoy helping theses kids off the street of Philadelphia it's bad out here for our youth bro. nothing is filmed because of their ages but I definitely will be doing give aways and raffles to youth I know adult will jump in but it's for to help the youth in my city so if you want to jump on board and subscribe when I finish putting it together I'll appreciate you very much. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💯💯💯
I have never drag or speedrun with thia esc.. the box says do not exceed 560kv in a 1/5 car. I run 800kv castle 2028 with no problem. I have a friend that ran castle 2028 1100kv and blew the esc. So u can try with that high ov a kv, but I wouldn't reccomend with max4. You could maybe consider a Flier esc instead. If you fry the esc with that motor HW probably won't honor the warranty if it blows.
Yea I want to run it on the fg modellsport sport 24 pinion and stock spur can't remember the spur teeth but hopefully it'll be good for bashing until the batt dies what 800kv motor do you run
@Calvin Mcgee in my fg...I run 8s. They are really light and don't need 12s. I run xlx 1 tppower 5660 1460 kv.plus I changed the motor mount so I can use different gear ratios. She will do 130mph plus on that setup. My 800kv motor of choice has and will always be Castle 2028 800kv.
@@jaymitchrc what gearing would u say is good for like a in between drag and speed run gear without getting hot? on the fg on 8s it came with the ztw esc and 1050kv system
@Calvin Mcgee I would not use 1050kv with ztw. 800kv max. If you blow the ztw on 1050kv they will not honor your warranty. If you wanna run 1050kv run flier esc instead. If you wanna run ztw stick to 800kv.
Man your going to love the Max4. I put one in the 5ive-T and it's a beast! Enjoy but I recommend getting the hobby wing bluetooth model so you can data log from your phone.

I have seen several guys running IC5 plugs with no issues. Myself I went with 3 QS8 plugs.

EC5's are rated for up to 120 amps of continuous load
This esc is rated at 300a continuous 2000a peak.....
@Matt, Put EC5s on these monster ESCs and you will regret it.

Honestly I'm not sure. I haven't tried to use the telemetry missed with the futaba.

@Gray23Black you could always buy the telemetry sensors for futaba to get them to work with max 4 but that can get expensive.

@@jaymitchrc I was told by a technician that the ztw esc is very similar to the max4 and the ztw can run a TP 1400kv on 12s so what do think?
