- A visit to Chinatown in Los Angeles California for the annual Lunar New Year celebration and annual Golden Dragon parade . Lots of entertainment , food and fun spread over a few city blocks .

The last couple weekends I attended Universal and DCA lunar new year events but felt it necessary to check out the annual one in Chinatown . The yearly parade was amazing .
i really would like to see some non CA stuff.. will you eventually travel again?? what about your "visiting europe" plans? :)
i love that Buce Lee statue that was cool. I know you're the same age that i am and so you might have had a similar experience growing up but for some reason on Sundays when i was a little kid, we only had 3 or 4 tv channels , and on sundays there was bruce lee movies, abbott and costello , the old black and white tarzan movies and then the 4th channel was religious programming. you might have had more tv channels than i did growing up but i liked the bruce lee movies best followed by the abbot and costello ones with who's on first one of the most watched hahaha

sgpch1983 California is huge and there are tons of events and sites to see that he has yet to experience and share with us. Can’t speak for anyone else but I’m enjoying it immensely. Everything Adam post is awesome.

Growing up in San Francisco, I was obsessed with Chinese culture. We had an amazing China Town there. Such fond memories for me.
This was my first time at this event but really enjoyed it
I could almost taste those potstickers and dragon whiskers myself. It all looked so delicious. I love me some Chinese food! Such a cool event and a great video man

That red Dragon blowing smoke reminded me of the Gigglesnort hotel form back when I was a kid.
I do a lot of work for Cirque at TI in Las Vegas, and recognized that first performer instantly. Your videos always bring back fond memories of living in LA, and going to Chinatown with my family.

That was awesome. I attended some CNY in Vegas last week and the lion dancers were my favorite. The costumes are so pretty and elaborate. I didn't get to taste any food though. Now I'm craving those potstickers. Thanks Adam!

This looks like great fun! I love the Lion dancers! I would buy one of those puppets. I've never heard of Dragon Whiskers Candy. I imagine it's quite delicious even though it reminds me of fiberglass strands, ha, ha! I wonder how many dragons had to be slain for one of those!

Happy Chinese New Year! One highlight of the Golden Dragon Parade worth mentioning is the firecracker finale at the end of the route. 16 strands of Chinese firecrackers exploding!

Not sure if you know this but the Chinese men that were mimicking the 🐉 Dragons R masters of the martial arts they have to be trained for the movements for the dance !
