Leaving Pro-Gay Theology for True Faith - Joe Dallas

  • Joe Dallas shares his testimony of being repeatedly molested as a boy and pursuing homosexual encounters as a teenager. After becoming a Christian, Joe struggled to reconcile the gospel with his promiscuous lifestyle, to the point of joining a pro-homosexual church in his quest for peace. Joe explains how the combination of misleading, ‘pro-gay’ theology and the conviction of the Holy Spirit propelled him into becoming a very angry gay activist. Eventually, God’s truth penetrated Joe’s armor, and his whole life was transformed.

There are so many of us LGB folk that have walked away from the lifestyle and ran towards Jesus. Thank you LORD. PLEASE continue to renew us, in your holy name AMEN. Thank you God for using Joe to minister to us. It may make us uncomfortable to talk about this stuff but it needs to be said. Please continue to pray for me!

How can a mother share this with her child without losing her? My heart is broken because I’m afraid she will not enter the gates of heaven. I’ve talked to her and I continue to pray for her. She was married to a wonderful man for 20 years, helped to raise his children plus her own but after their divorce, she met a woman and they have been together every since. 😢 My heart hurts for her partner as well because she is really a sweet and caring person to me who has never been with a man. Please 🙏 for them both before it’s to late because I truly believe we are living in the end times. 🙏🙏

Great word, thanks for sharing Joe Dallas' story. The gospel changes everything for those who confess, repent, surrender and submit. Then the war is on with the flesh and the spirit. I've learned over the years that when sin creeps in, we must run back to Jesus as fast as we can. We don't belong in the flesh anymore and that sanctification process at work in our lives continues to make us look more and more like Jesus until we see Him face to face.

One of the most ignored unsaid facts among the LGBT, gay community, is that a great amount of them were molested as a child. Someone or some people sexually abused them in some way, causing their mind to become confused, rather than them naturally growing into a man or woman. That says a lot and need to be considered.

I agree 100% with your comment. I also see it as a void in their soul. It often stems from an abusive or neglectful relationship with their parent. They seek to find the love they did not receive from the mother figure or father figure. For a make it's the father. For a female it's the mother. Only now can Jesus fill that void they are so longing to feel. I have much compassion for people who had traumatizing childhoods.

Love this testimony. I believe church members these days do not admit their struggles . They have no one to openly share with , because of fear of rejection or being looked down on . Yes there are religious Pharisees walking in our isles , sitting in our pews . This why I loved the story of the woman at the well . Jesus said to her … woman I know all about your past. Drink of this water and You will thirst no more , and go and sin no more !!!!

A lot in this testimony. A big focus is on his decisions e.g. repentance but I think there's a lot to learn about how the church was in the 1970s and 80s. The church treated people that struggled with these temptations as outcasts. We've got to minister with grace and with the heart of God. Through everything, God loved this man throughout. That love never changed. We must minister in love always even when we don;t understand. We should offer people a safe place to discuss their struggles. It doesn't mean we affirm the lifestyle.

Wow. I can’t imagine the turmoil that must have gone on in joes mind! But if in him in many others also…..how crucial in his testimony to thousands, millions! Gay or not! We can literally tell ourselves that we are right and crusaders for Lord! We can convince ourselves that scripture can back up our beliefs, what ever they may be. Unless we are truly repentant, can we hear that still small voice and truly hear the voice of God, and seek Gods will can we have his favour!!
Thank you for your honesty!! This is truly beautiful!!

One time when I was in the Navy and stationed in Long Beach I saw in the Long Beach paper that there was going to be a talk on the Bible and homosexuality at the Long Beach Metropolitan Community Church. So I went to it. And the person who gave the talk just went through the Bible that had every verse that condemns homosexuality and just deny what each verse says. After the talk I sat down with the lady who gave the talk. And I told her that when we read verses that say what we are doing is a sin that WE need to change and not the Bible. I didn’t tell her that this is what the Metropolitan Church does. Hopefully she will realize that.

This applies to all sin and false teachings that accuse people of trying to " earn salvation " by keeping God's commandments.
Keep the commandments, Christ said to.
Salvation by faith does not in any way contradict Christ's instruction to keep God's commandments.
Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
    Shabbat Shalom.
