      @@Boshkovich The Nuggets don't have great 1-on-1 defenders like Claxton, Giannis or Embiid, but they play great team defense with MPJ, AG, Jokic etc. They are completely blocking passing lanes and trapping the guy with the ball and forcing him to take tough shots.
      And if the Nuggets didn't play a championship game what does it say about the Celtics and Bucks. One went down 3-0 and the other got gentlemen swept.

    He doesn't hate it. He just needs a break to love it again. Lets be real, it is not a hobby anymore. These players train every day so much. Whether they like it or not. Training is hard and it is programmed, and nobody likes anything being so programmed: weights, running, jumping, more and more reps, playing basketball and shooting is just 10% of training. Then, there is diet, pressure, mental strength must be on a high level as well... So, before someone says "he is hating it", he should try to understand this "job" first.

    Jokic is funny as shit with a mega dry sense of humor + clearly hates the interview process and the gotcha attitude that goes with it. • @saiwaqa2573
    @saiwaqa2573 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +33

    Lets unpack this a little more. He was just robbed of the mvp, called a stat padder by the mainstream media, beraded as a loser as well by the mainstream media, and you want him to be happy to communicate with them? Good on him, he dispelled the myth that you can do anything you believe in, showing that it means nothing in the grand scheme of things compared to being at home with your family. That it wasn't some hard road he had to overcome to get to the mountain top, that it isn't some prestigious thing that we fans have made it out to be; its simply a job, and he did his job. Now let the man go home.
    Personally, i loved that. Why? Cause you can believe in yourself as much as you want, but if you don't work on your game, if you don't put in the effort (which he didn't need to clarify as his story reveals his hard work and effort), that you can achieve this. Its not simply belief, its much more than that. And its not the most important thing in the world.

    • @Anamer22
      @Anamer22 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Exactly. It's not like he didn't want it, or didn't want it more than the Heat players. It's that he prioritizes family and friends more than basketball. Which in the end are the things that really matter in life. Most players come to this realization when their careers are over, money starts to run dry and they find themselves alone.

    If the show collapses because of Greg Cote hitting the hard out, perhaps that suggests that the people in charge of constructing the show (in their own self-involvement and narcissism) need to make better choices instead of doing the same trick for a decade and expecting it to work as well as/be as funny as the first week.
