How to Connect Firestick to WIFI Internet without Remote (Easy Method)

- Do you want to know how to CONNECT your Amazon FIrestick to your WIFI internet without your remote??? After losing your amazon fire tv remote, it's not impossible to connect your firestick to your wifi router. There is still hope and this hope is called HDMI CEC this will allow you to control your amazon firestick with your TV remote. Look in your TV options for HDMI CEC or Anynet+ on Samsung TVs and turn this option on!
From here you can connect your amazon firestick to the wifi or you can pair a new firestick remote to your TV. Also, once connected to the wifi, you can connect the firestick remote app to control your firestick if you not longer want to use your TV remote. So it's still possible to hook your Firestick up without the remote available to you! ...

Dude, you're a lifesaver! Lost my remote, disconnected my firestick from my wifi by mistake while using the phone app. At first, I didn't see HDMI CEC as an input option, but by going into System on my TV setup, I was able to activate it. Works like a charm- saves me $35 for a new remote. Thank you

Omg thank you so much!!!!!!! My Sceptre tv didn't show the CEC on source, but I went into the settings and found the CEC option. Again thank you cuz I was about to lose my religion getting frustrated with this not working.

I just had to share with you. I have had this issue before and I contacted amazon and everything, they were absolutely no help what so ever!! I mine as well buy a whole new Firestick over buying a new remote, it made no sense. I did end up buying another one but I had to go through someone else because it had other features - then I ended up finding remote, and battery terminals were junk anyway... long story short. Today I was on my internet provider’s site and it said it would make internet faster to combine on one band to have devices search for fastest. It warmed me what wasn’t connected but I ignored and then kicked myself in butt. Once again I searched google, your video was first to come up, I saw first comment about someone having same tv (lucky him) then realized I had a Samsung too!!! And sure as heck I had cec!! I had to pull out tv remote but it freakin works!!! Thank you!!!

Omg!!! Thank you. I changed Internet supplier and thought i wasnt going to be able to use any of the 3 fire sticks because all the remotes broke so we were using the fire app as a remote. But because the first needs to be the same WiFi as my mobile i couldnt use the app. This just saved me buying new fire sticks. I can't believe i never knew this before and was always using the apps lol. Thank you

Thanks, this was helpful.. just a note to add, in my case I had to connect my fire stick to HDMI 1, when it was connected to HDMI 3, my tv remote was not functioning even after enabling HDMI CEC..

This worked for me, thank you! The buttons on my actual TV did not lead me to HDMI CEC (aka Bravia Sync). Luckily, my Sony Bravia TV has an option called "Bravia Sync" on the TV remote. That did it!
I have a 2nd Fire Stick w/ a non-compatible HDMI CEC TV. I unplugged 2nd Fire Stick from said TV and plugged it into my Sony Bravia TV that does have HDMI CEC available- boom! it worked! Unplugged/plugged 2nd Fire Stick into non-CEC TV. Thanks again!

@@KingsleyRodrigueskinZ if you have a smart TV use the ECC option he talks about. Should be able to set it up that way.

this worked, it's just dumb that it doesnt allow you to configure the wifi when connected via ethernet and using the app...
But i dont have hdmi cec lol. I have fire tv but it wont let me connect since my password to my internet has changed. Sucks

Not everyone is using a Samsung monitor with a Samsung remote you should’ve said that in the title
Richard Derrick I think as long as it’s a smart Tv you’ll have the option to have remote -CEC. On my LG Smart TV I hade to go to Settings>General>Simplink(HDMI-CEC). Probably just go to System or general settings on any smart TV and you’ll be able to find a “HDMI-CEC” option
