Thank you, Brian and Lucy! I can relate to Lucy's skate setup. I was also getting pain from having a much longer wheelbase than I need. I'm studying your videos as I wait for my new plates so I can visualize the movements. It's wonderful to see people's progression. Congratulations, Lucy!

Man I love skating and it sucks because of the pandemic but I’ve been trying to find some teachers or coaches around here to pick their brains on some techniques. Great work Lucy!

Also, currently working on the low T- shift and I can say that when I started, my knees were killing me. Now I'm doing them better ,but I still have to work on keeping a straight upper body position. Also I don't know if its normal to feel some burn on the shin area while doing this move. Thanks for this snippet Brian.

The burning sensation comes from contraction of the tibial muscles and tissue attached (front side of the shin). When you pull your toes up, you can feel that particular muscle contract. Make sure to stretch that area a lot, by pushing your toes down and rolling your feet in circles. Keep up your good spirits and funk on!

Coming back to this snippet a month later. I’m working on my spins and you suggested that I order to improve them, one should have a way to exit the spin. I tried Lucy’s method of going into a split when I want to exit the spin. Do I just extend the legs in their original heel-toe position? Like if I’m spinning towards my left with my left toe and right heel, in the split am I still on the left toe and right heel? Thanks

Thank you. Unfortunately, I don't have the time and resources to do that. So I am making small contributions within my powers, to impact peoples lives and joy, in this way!

I wish I had teachers like that when I was a teen. Instead, they thought skaters should learn fast. The coach was impatient with skaters. I quit eventually.

I'm sorry to hear that you quit, due to impatience of your mentors. I hope this footage rekindles the joy you experienced when skating, despite of the questionable mentoring.
