+1 for a video on Apple's mega menu. It's beautifully minimalistic, with some elegant subtleties that I can't find anywhere else. e.g. dropdown speed is perfect and not jarring, text columns in mega menu populate top to bottom AND left to right, page (background) blurs as menu expands, and as you scroll, the header is not only a semi-transparent layer it also has a blur effect that keeps background text/objects from being too visible when scrolling through that plane.
I would be amazed if you could actually replicate all of these nuanced elements in WP, but it would be fun to see how close you could get.
