I totally feel for Derrick and Brandon in this one. I was shouting Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Vib Ribbon at the screen despite never playing them but when it got to Hollow Knight, a game I’ve played multiple times, I completely locked up.
Oh! And for future guests, I’d love to see Penny “SnapCube” Parker go up against Tim “ActionButtonReviews” Rogers. Would be fun to see someone with a bit more of a musical background go up against someone with crystal-clear memory.

The way the first track started I thought that’s what the secret gimmick of the episode was going to be. Totally thought this was Evangelion in the Super Mario 64 sound-font.

Yo! On the topic of matching Ash with video game music, I think KyleJCRB from the BumbleKast could put up a worthy fight. He runs a 24/7 VG music station, so I think that’d be a great matchup!

Ok! it is nice to see this come off its unofficial hiatus here's hoping more are to come on a regular basis (realistically once a month or once every two months) either way just happy to have it back.
I love watching this series since it’s a chance to hear music from other games, but I do feel proud whenever I can get a few.
The easiest was _Xenoblade Chronicles 2_ with the Torigoth night theme since it’s my favorite OST of all time. “God-Shattering Star” from _Fire Emblem: Three Houses_ and “Ark Mall” from _Astral Chain_ were the other ones I knew.
The second Torigoth night started playing I immediately knew it and screamed it. Love that theme.
I find it interesting that talking about this topic can just show what kind of game that a person tend to favor, lol
I’m really glad God-Shattering Star barely played and Brandon got it immediately because I’ve been waiting to hear it ingame for the first time, my fault for doing Claudes route last!

A few days late, but finally got a chance to watch this. So glad to see another episode of this. As a video game OST connoisseur, I absolutely love playing along to see how many I can get.
Oh Gosh....! I immediately recognised the first song, from EVANGELION! It's the song played in the old anime movie The End of Evangelion (during a scene that's out of this world). What a throwback...!

Please please please fix your audio mixing for the next episode - it’s really difficult to hear the music without turning up the volume on full blast only to have my ears destroyed by a peaking voice. Other than that, thank you for making this kind of content.

Yeah, I felt very confused on that one because I’ve played through XV a couple times and have listened to the soundtrack a bunch, but couldn’t remember where it was, despite how similar it felt to the rest of the soundtrack. And then it was Crisis Core and it all made sense

The pokemon song was very tricky ! I recognize Golderond, but It was clearly hard to find the source of the remix.
I'm surprised I got Hollow Knight correct since I've never played it, but I do own the soundtrack. I guess that track has popped up on random in my Instrumentals playlist enough

Okay, so, starting to get weirded out a bit. I play a lot of daily Heardles, including one Videogame Heardle. I rarely get any of them right, but one time last week, I did. Then the song at around 24:00 started playing, and I instantly recognized it.
