I just knew parrolettes were on your list! Growing up with budgies all my life, my first time bird mom to parrolettes (almost a year old now) I'm so surprised how low volume they are to budgies! I'm actually thinking of getting a pair of budgies to enhance my tiny flock, your past videos are really helpful to me decide... thanks for sharing all your expertise! Chirp chirp from me and Bella and Stella my sassy parrolettes 🎶💕
I had a single female green check in an apartment for 20 years and she was very quiet. She rarely made noise and did not scream. I'm not sure my neighbors even knew I had her. I think parrots are stimulated to make noise if they are in a noisy environment, and eliminating unnecessary noise really helps them to stay on the quieter side. She was also fully flighted and always out of her cage when I was home so she could follow me around and didn't need to use her contact call.
Yeah can't wait till you decided to write a book on apartment birds. I live in a senior apartment with paper thin walls. I'm hoping one day my son will move me into his house so I can have more parrots...
Our Pionus makes water sounds, too :) He's a really good mimic. The other day he copied my stomach growling and then me gargling 😂 He uses his water sound as a word for water! He sometimes "says" it after grabbing some Psitticus pellets on his way to drop them in his water. He uses it if I change his water dish or am rinsing and filling his water dish. He also uses it when he's excited about water and wants a bath or wants to get closer to the water. And he even uses it sometimes when he scratches his head - which makes me wonder if he's asking for a bath or associates scratching with bathing and water?
I bought a Senegal because I was told they are one of the quieter birds. He ends up being the noisiest. 😄 My amazon used to be really loud but ever since i put him in an aviary he is as quiet as a mouse.
Should the pair be of same species? I have a Timneh and got a green cheek for her to have a friend. She has stated to immigrate the green cheek and it is a screech
Sooo hard to watch your video and understand what you're trying to say with as much you jump around from different topics and birds and changed what you were saying 😩 really wanted to get info from this video and I couldn't focus enough to finish the video because of how disorganized it is.
My cockateil can scream and scream when he wants to and sometimes just for the sake of it, and it really is ear shattering.
Great video! Love all your videos. They're very informative.
Glad you like them! And thank you for watching and commenting :)

If you can, get hand-fed budgies. You’ll love them- make sure the Parrotlets are good to the Budgies- LMK how it goes and thanks for watching!
Your Linnie looks so sweet!! I hope to find a Linnie in my area someday!
They aren’t easy to find. Good luck, they are super sweet!

Thanks for sharing - yes, circumstances make a difference for sure

I understand! Parrots would be terrible with thin walls! You have Parrotlets, right?
Yéééé the book is coming 💃💃💃🤣🤣🤣
With editor now!
Rosey Bourkes are another grass keet I've heard is super quiet and sweet. They make quiet, cute little bird sounds from what I hear.
Yes, but I’ve never had them so I couldn’t talk about them 😀🦜
My green cheek is as chatty as a budgie and screams as much as a sun conure :’)
Oh wow! Sounds exceptional!

Yeah, Senis are supposed to be quiet! Surprised- and surprised at your Amazon! They traded sounds!
@@ParrotBliss 🤣😆😂
I would say my Cape is some kind of quiet most of time but she can be really loud and do high pitch some times.... she's a parrot hein 🤔🤷♀️
Mine can to, but they don’t make loud noises often- I’m thinking it’s because they have another. Overall, I love how quiet they are!
When getting a pair is there a recommendation for 2 male, 2 female or one of each?
I will respond in a video
Should the pair be of same species? I have a Timneh and got a green cheek for her to have a friend. She has stated to immigrate the green cheek and it is a screech
They do beat with the same species- yeah, Greys and Timnehs can pick up undesirable sounds-
So sorry for typos. I was walking and writing without my reading glasses. Thanks for your prompt response.
@@maivirodriguez8839 no problem
