    That was great Chris! I really like how you went with your own design. You ended up making something that looks so much better. And the way you tailored the look of each to mimic the guitars they would hold was such a nice touch. Great job dude!

    Dude... I feel you on the "musician" thing... I've been playing music since I was about 10, and I'm still below mediocre on everything except Saxophone and vocals.
    I also play Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Mandolin just well enough to get by. Meaning as long as there's no one else in the room who knows how to play, I look like a rockstar. hahaha!

    Amazing how you matched the looks of the guitars with the hangers. Really nice work, Big C! And two beautiful instruments. Love the figure and color of the Les Paul especially. You work that finger board pretty dang good. Awesome that you're getting back into it. You're good. Crazy what we retain after the practice we put into something. Really enjoyed this vid. Great work, bud! Troy

    Hey Chris..did you think about getting a belt/spindle ocsillating sander. That way you could have gotten rid of the disk sander and had two tools in one...all in one space. Also, I'm not sure if you have hardwoods mixed in with the ply or if that's MDF (too lazy to rewind), but if hardwood, you probably should have had those on the ends for the joiner. Anyway, another entertaining vid. Keep pumping them out. Ok ....I listened to the first song..."here I am, rock you like a hurricane..." Second song...don't know.

    • @AGlimpseInside
      @AGlimpseInside  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What’s up Greg. I did consider that combo sander from Ridged. However I really love my 1940s delta 12 inch disc sander. I just think Having tools set up for exactly how you need them, instead of changing them out, makes them more accessible and easier to use. Plus that disc sander is a relic and I really enjoy using it. Close try on the song but no one seems to of gotten the first one although a lot of people have gotten the second one

    Great video. I don’t know anything about woodworking, but would it be strongest if you had the grain running from the base to the tip of the hook? There would be nowhere for the vertical pressure to cause a clean break

    Fantastic little project! I have several guitars hangng already, but all store-bought hangers. Will DEFINITELY be thinking about custom hangers for them now. Great music, too! Do you use your own tunes for your videos? (BTW-- Also loved the bookcase full of old books. Do I see a Whole Earth Catalog in there? And is that a set of Time-Life "How It Works" books stacked on the floor??)

    Chris, as usual, what a great video my friend! Looks like we have similar hobbies too. Well, almost. I play or should I say, attempt to play the bass. I have 3 blue basses and one newly acquired red bass that well become my fourth blue bass along with some upgrades and a few mods. I really like the custom hangers made with scraps. One question I have on your build is: For the acoustic guitar do you need to lengthen the depth of the throat to accommodate the thicker body? I have an acoustic/electric bass as well as an a/e 6 string guitar. I have this video for inspiration for my to do list. Thanks pal!

    • @AGlimpseInside
      @AGlimpseInside  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks as always Frank. I actually did not account for the thicker acoustic body. Luckily it was a perfect fit! So glad you found inspiration from this as this project got me playing again!!

    For the "fancy" wood only statement is to use dowels instead of screws. All you would need to do is drill a deep hole for a 1/4 or 3/8 dowel, drizzle some glue in there, and tap the dowel in with a hammer. Then you could say "no screws" if it mattered that much.
    Either way, great build, I like.
