As videos like this help us in choosing the right pedalboards for the three videos or two of the series i already realized that my bb preamp is an excellent tool and i almost sold it these days i would make a serious mistake. thanks again Janek!
I'm digging this format! Keep it up! Planning on getting serious with bass playing and joining your class library for getting a routine going. Looking forward to doing that. The fun pedal bits help with staying motivated through the tough times over here! I hope you are doing well! Looking forward to see you touring some time in the near future. Greetings from Germany and stay safe everybody!
Loving the pedal show Janek! Great production, great sound quality, amazing intro :) Really helps me to understand some of the amazing sounds you and other guys like Tim Lefebvre and Chris Morrissey are producing. Now I need to save some money to buy some of those amazing pedals and explore the sounds myself. You are presenting al these pedals with such enthusiasm, it makes me want to have all of them ;)
Yo Janek, love the new series for pedals!! Keep up the good work!! Love synths, check out the Bananana Effects Matryoshka micro synth. Awesome little box with a HUGE amount of sounds!! Cheers 🍻!!
You should have two of the vintage bass octaves on your board. One for the Jojo Mayer setting and one for full dry and full octave 1 so you have that 80s bass octave sound
Εφήμερον (ephemeron) is the greek word for ephemeral. Such a great pedal!!! Have you also checked the boss sy300?? This beast has it all...Oscillators,filters,envelopes, arpeggiators... You name it!!! Don't get fooled by those crappy youtube demos...
Ok,..I’ll say it!...unless like him you’re in a band that allows you to use FX as such,..one would be challenged to find an abundance of use for the tones in the real Bassist role on gigs. The sounds are cool tho’,..Bass & Drum Dub sessions would be killer!! That said,..I’m still holding out for a more practical sounding FM synth pedal..you can do some great known/familiar grooves with!!...🎶✨🎸🎛✌🏾🤘🏾
Seems like you can have bell sounds like with Ringmodulation but without losing the pitch beyond the tuned note. Is my impression correct??. Thank you!
I think the name of the pedal is a play on the word "ephemeron".
My thoughts exactly. Let’s hope Janek sees your comment.
That would make a lot of sense... Should have seen that one. 🤦🏻♂️ thanks for pointing it out. 👍
Googled it. Definitely the right word👍
lol. i didn't put this together after years. good call
The closeup shots with the playing cards in the background are so dope!
How does this only have 3.5k views? Wow. Also, helluva pedal. I hesitated and missed out buying one a couple of days ago. Great video!
FMeron = ephemeron (if-EM-er-on).
As word play goes, it’s actually quite clever. Inspired, even.
I've had one of these for a few years. I did have it up for sale but after watching this, I've decided Im gonna keep it! Thanks.

Damn that tone at the end is bananas. I need this pedal now for the dnb band I play in it’s perfect!
Nice work getting the Mayer signature sticks in there while playing material that sounds like Nerve.
Great show loved it! Thank you😀
Proud owner. Cheers from Indonesia. 🍻
Since I dogged on them in the octave video, I feel it necessary to say good on you, MXR!
Not even close. They sent the pedals. I think that's a solid move. Thanking them for correcting something is the way to go.
Janek Gwizdala Oh, for sure! Definitely what I was trying to communicate with my comment, just in case that wasn’t clear. :)

The Jojo Mayer sticks looked like it had a normal color wood stick instead of the white finish. I want a pair of those if they exist

YAY! my picks making more appearances!! @5:58
💪 yes! not only are they great picks, but they're awesome for creating depth in my shots!
Holy cow this is roots dupstep in a pedal
ephemeron = singular version of ephemera.
Meaning transitory or short-lived.
Great play on words/letters here.

IE shop cleaned already :P
😢 that was quick...
Holy smokes! I actually wanted one before this video and hesitated. Dang :/
Has anybody ever tried running a Dubterrenea through the FMeron? Might be an idiot idea but I'd love to know how that'd sound.
Haha you’re not alone in terms of that specific curiosity and I hate to be a bummer but, um. Yeah….

What drum loops/sample pack are you using or recommend?
Can it do the classic DX7 bass patches?
Janek, Have you tried the synths in the stomp?
Love the Jojo Mayer drumsticks ha!
Seemed appropriate as he's playing drums on the video...
I’m going with”FM-eron”
gawd all the Iron Ether pedal sellout SO FAST
*FIMERON*

Still sounding ring modulation not synth...but cool
Did I hear The Lick at like 10 minutes?
I would think it is pronounced fmeron ......;-)....very simple

There is a slight element of the "bell" sound you're asking about. But the pedal does need fine-tuning in terms of the pitch.
