As soon as you see Russo with Cornette talking about him, you just got to hit play.
I see you in 💘 with Jim. You want the big cactus?
I wonder what his thoughts on JBL getting his ass whoop by Joey
You gotta bro lol
Yep definitely
Works everytime
"He's still alive. All the good people who died and he's still alive."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Herd, Russo and Cornette in the next Table for 3 😁
Jim might do it if it was a cage match 🤣
That table would be flipped over within 5 minutes
That vedio will get 100 million views 😂
@@arttashfilms9816 seconds
And Kevin Dunn as mediator just for the hell of it🐹😂
I don't know who hired Jim Herd, but he was working at a goddamn Pizza Hut before WCW.
I would love to see a Dark Side Of The Ring episode on Herd especially because he is still alive. Jim Cornette and Jim Ross could probably take up the whole show.
@Hidden Sword I think he worked for a TV station which aired it. To be fair regarding Pizza Hut, he did have an executive position so he had a decent amount of business experience (it's just a shame he had such strange ideas about wrestling).
@@tempestfennac9687 his negotiating skills are the complete shits if we are to believe Jim's stories about the Midnight Express negotiating with WCW after the sale to Ted Turner.
@@tempestfennac9687 Yes. He was an executive at Pizza Hut. Although I would guess he never knew a wristlock from a wristwatch before he started in WCW.
@@takerdust Refresh my memory about that. Was it like six figures between all three of them?
@Hidden Sword He was a station manager(KPLR comes to mind. I think Flair said it) in St. Louis back when St. Louis was the mecca, the center of the NWA with Sam Muchnik.
as soon as I see either Herd or Russo mentioned I have to watch
I was the exact the same you know Cornette going take a breath then unleash a hell of a promo on Herd and Russo
😭😭😭😭😭
Imagine Russo and Cornette on the same podcast. It might break the internet. But I'd love to see it.
20 seconds of talking followed by 30 minutes of baseball bat, bruising flesh and cracking bone, followed by 10 seconds of Cornette pissing on a dead body.
That should headline Wrestlemania
@@brianm2881 and I for one would pay money to be a fly on the wall for that
@@brianm2881 You forgot that 10 of the 20 seconds talking would be the word "bro".
Outside of their different booking styles, they both have the same opinions about modern wrestling especially AEW's booking and how modern wrestlers don't look threatening.
LOL a Russo, Herd collab that would be the death nail of WCW!
This one seemed obvious: one he calls ‘Herd’, and one he calls ‘Shitstain’.
A maybe a minority on this one but as much as I enjoy Corny's rants on Russo, I think the Jim Herd rants are some of his better ones!
Brian really had to ask to Corny what a Herd/Russo collab would look like 😭💀🤣
When he says the old alcoholic fuck I almost passed out I laughed so hard
Last: How well would Russo have worked under Jim Herd?
Corentte: ....OH MY GOD....
Would've made for a good "Hawwww!"
Lol!!
"He looks like a goof. Because he is a goof. He walks out there like he is King Kong to the Road Warriors music and thinks he is over" - Jim Cornette
That was a fucking iconic moment. Crazy that it happened even before I was born
When did that happen? I wanna see that.
I love when people ask Corny questions just to set him off.
I see you in 💘 with Jim. But is it love or lust? I say the latter
@@fatalsniper3413 actually i'm in love with you
@@Karemaker didn't expect that...
lol just fucking around with you
We want to see Jim vs Russo match... it's been 20 years and we're still waiting
It’s a work bro !
@Gzus Kreist last time I checked wasn't it Russo with the restraining order?
Russo Rules
Cornette sucks
Rather like Sting vs Taker or Hogan vs Austin it is best left to the imagination, the reality is two sixty something, non athletes would be horrendous. The promos are great from both sides because they are both great talkers. Plus Jim if he wanted to hurt Russo would have done it when he was sat in a room with him for a year in TNA-he didn't. It is all hot air.
Russo would kick Jim's ass
I'm sure even to this day Herd regrets letting Flair leave WCW in 1991 to Vince. I still remember the We want Flair chants that year.
When you listen to someone like Dutch or JR, you’ll find out they’re more accepting of Russo than they are of Herd.
Yeah well, Herd never came up with angles that made fun of JR. I don't think Ross will ever forgive Russo and Ferraria for Oklahoma.
@ Not too sure. JR has mentioned he has no issues with Russo.
Corny's wrestling company from hell:
Run by Jim Herd, booked by Russo, produced by Bucky Beaver, and their top guy, Kenny Olivier
Managed by Dixie Carter.
I would put Joey Ryan over Kenny.
Top tag team: the Kookamuga Kids.
TV champion. Our little dog Pockets
There should be a commitee with Jim herd, Vince Russo, Kevin Dunn, John Lauranitus, Dixie carter, Ian rotten and tony khan with cornette as head booker. I'd pay to see that.
Russo, Herd, Dunn and Carter would totally suck up to each other. Lauranitus already fell asleep from his own boring voice, Rotten would have never made it, because he is banned from every state because of his Hepatites and Tony Khan would say "Look at all these real life wrestling action figures i just bought."
@@Sparkledash1 nice one 🤣
Would make a great reality tv show
Only if Jim isn't allowed to kill anyone lol
Bruce Prichard too
0:15 EXACTLY how I thought he would begin his answer lol
Herd and Russo...

Ric Flair is Spartacus and flies a spaceship
Good grief, now just imagine inserting the hunchbacks somewhere in this catastrophe, that would've been the nail in the coffin.
Between Russo, Watts, Herd, Hogan, Nash and Bischoff’s incompetence, that company had no chance of long term survival. Its a miracle they had those 2 years on top.
Bischoff didn't actually want Thunder as a program he stated that they had no material for another 2 to 3hr show. He wanted nitro only or nWo type of show but Ted Turner and his yes men said no you need to do WCW Thunder.
But I agree with your comment about the idiots they were the ones who destroyed it from the inside
Blame whoever you want because it wouldn't have mattered anyway. The AOL Time Warner merger is what killed the company. They wanted nothing to do with wresting at all.
Uh leave Hogan and Nash out it.
@@kujo62 If Russo didn't suck hard at his job and WCW was profitable when Time Warner pulled the plug, they would have found another network easily. Hell, WWF left USA after almost 20 years and went to TNN in 2000 because USA had enough of the Attitude Era. WWF was popular enough to be wanted. After Russo plunged ratings into the toilet, nobody wanted them.
@@ReflectionOfPerfection He never even got a fair chance because the stupid company panicked when the ratings didn't immediately shoot back up to 6s and 7s. They were losing money because of the bloated, guaranteed contracts that were being handed out like candy in the 3-5 years BEFORE Russo got there. Nobody could have saved it.
The only thing worse than Russo and Herd working together would be if the two of them teamed up with Dixie Carter.
Herd and Russo=the Beavis and Butt-Head of wrestling. 😆
I would have to guess That Vince was worse because it would have been like someone who has already survived a terrible car accident be back in the car and see the driver talking on his phone while he lit a cigarette barreling down to a red light
Love this channel!!
Now I want Tony Khan to spend more of his father’s money to hire Jim Herd and Vince Russo as the latest AEW executive vice presidents to help him with booking just to see what would happen.
I wouldn’t be shocked if he tried
No..Just..no. Herd was detrimental to the business as Russo was.
It's like choosing between anthrax and tetanus. Both are awful.
Herd never claimed to be a wrestling expert, the closest he ever got to wrestling prior to WCW was working as the station manager for KPLR-TV St. Louis which happened to broadcast Wrestling at the Chase, and he never made himself part of the show, so of the two Jim Herd was better (marginally)
@Ferret,John, Herd was just as bad as Shitstain. Think about it, it's thanks to him we didn't get the 4H reunion we SHOULD'VE GOTTEN WITH TULLY when he & Arn were returning from working for Vince & instead the moron denies Tully's return because HE FAILED A DRUG TEST WHILE WORKING FOR VINCE, & instead we had the stupidity of Sting in the 4H which was as bad as Paul Roma in the 4H.
@@TheSportsfan35 I never said Herd was a genius, thanks to him Ric Flair went to the WWF with THEIR TITLE!! Herd made the Dingalings! But Shitstain made himself and David Arquette WCW World Champions and had the Mexican wrestlers compete in a Pinata on a Pole Match. As I said, the one thing Herd didn't do was make himself part of the in-ring story, that made him marginally better
Herd got the job pretty much because NO ONE else at Turner wanted it; he was hired by Jack Petrick because Herd was an old friend of his and Petrick didn't want to do the job. Cornette really understates just how everyone at Turner except for Ted himself HATED wrestling and thought its mere existence on their networks demeaned the reputation of the entire company. Herd actually tried in his early days to get other programs with CNN and Turner Sports to help promote WCW and he was always told they refused to be belittled by being connected to wrestling.
That is like asking if you rather walk barefoot over hot coals or thumbtacks.
It's a tie: they BOTH Russo & Herd excelled in SUCK. I cannot imagine how much that they would suck as a cohesive unit.
Love these chats!!
Wwe 98 is their most talked about Year ever. No one fondly remembers the jim herd wcw era.
Damn I miss Roller Derby!!!
you dont know what is traffic until you learn to drive here in Rome, Italy
It's been like 6 months since Russo's name is mentioned again lol
Jim Herd
Vince Russo
Dixie Carter

...
There you go 😂
Vince McMahon's face gets red when he is not mad.
Vince Russo’s nickname never fails to get a laugh out of me😂 I’ve listened to a few of his interviews out of morbid curiosity and I couldn’t imagine having to work with that man and not turn into a raging alcoholic. If he’s like that all the time...it’s enough to drive a woodman nuts.
Which one? Shitstain or The Archbishop of Talentbury?
Awesome Shoot Today Jim!!😎🐐🐐
I gave this video a like before even hearing it. Million dollar question, guaranteed homerun. Knew Vince was going to be on the losing end of the dumbass Olympics.
I'll come right out and say it: Russo's much better than Herd as a booker/creative guy. Don't get me wrong, Russo sucks, but Herd had no idea from what I understand. Russo was at least smart enough to occasionally know a wrestler had a good thing going and feature them and their shtick. I can't believe I complimented Russo, even if it was when comparing him to Herd. Talk about being the nicest guy in prison...
Lol Jim showing his love for Herd and Russo again.
Herd and russo together in wrestling..... that is the scariest nightmare for wrestling to even think of. They'd be munching on each other's behinds so hard that it would cause reality and time to cease to exist.
This reminds me... what killed the roller derby? Well... I hope the wrestling industry doesn't suffer the same fate... please.
Roller Jam
Vince Russo has readily admitted he's not cut out to be the number 1 guy in a wrestling company. He's an ideas guy. He should be the number 2 guy on the booking committee with someone who knows how to run a business and produce good TV at the head of the company. Having the guy with all the cannabis induced ideas is great, but you need a buffer who can refine those ideas and make them work.
As someone who didn't watch WCW/NWA in the late 80's & early 90s and only started in 1993 with WWF and WCW in '95 regularly but also a fan who unlike most kids at the time didn't buy pwi magazines or any non WWF shit at the time I always wondered how you could have that many big name stars, even guys well past their prime & other guys who had extreme amounts of talent like Pillman and Austin but yet still suck hell just based on match booking ALONE not to mention the stupid shit!!??!!?? Now I know. The answer is simply Jim Herd. Unbelievable one guy could not only fuck up that much but he ruined something that you could say before he got there was perfect 🙄
I did buy pwi mags. For the word THAT
And ah fuck it
Who was worse Vince Russo or Jim Herd? > What is the meaning of life?
I always considered Jim Herd an idiot ever since the Ric Flair incident
Herd wanted Flair as Spartacus good god I’m glad Flair got out of there when he did
@@Kas58223 pretty sure her just said that was an idea that they were just tossing around a million ideas
I wonder how Russo and the Crocketts would have gotten along 😂
Corny talking about Russo my brain locked up I was so happy didnt know if I hit play like comment or go blind lol
Herd & Russo would've closed down WCW, and the WWF wouldn't have had competition to make them put in effort. Yikes 😬
For those who don't know and I would like to point a fact
SHIT STAIN = Vince Russo
jim will always be jealous of russo booking the attitude era and all the top guys from stone cold, rock, mankind, taker and kane loving him.
Why does it feel like Jim's commutes to work back in the WWF days were half the reason he hated that job so much😅
Russo would have turned the Ding Dongs into the Dil Dos.
Except he'd package them as the Dill Does: dressed up in deer costumes carrying jars of pickles.
@@zlinedavid That would have been hilarious. I've always been fond of Herds ideas. If you're going to be over the top you might aswell go all the way.
@@blacksabbath1022 You actually liked Herd's ideas??? One of the few people out of 1 million people who never liked his ideas, you're the only one that does.. You must be a mark for Jim Herd aren't you???
bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro bro Russo
The Ding Dongs facing off in a viagra on a pole match?
Jim Ross lives more off his anger for Jim Herd and Vince Russo then Anything else. He knocks Vince Russo and George Scott who were both bookers that’s done things right for Vince McMahon at different times. (Numbers don’t lie Corny) Jim Herd I will not argue! But why is Dusty Rhodes okay when it lost all of the Crockett’s money and never worried about booking 101? It had to be about Dusty finishes!
It’s time to get over it all.
I don’t like Jim’s co host that much.
Imagine the Hunchbacks as strippers and the Ding Dongs as well...ding dongs
Travis missed a roller derby opportunity.
The unstoppable force versus the immovable object!
Russo's ratings drew the highest ratings ever. Still burns deep into Jim's core. I like Jim but facts are facts.
LMAO....🤣😂😅😆😆😆😁
Corny is so funny
I honeslty like to know if Jim Cornette had the chance to start up another wrestling promotion who he'd have by his side and the wrestlers he'd have what his choices would be
Our next question sent to corny Drive thru
Crabface Jimmy should be his wrestling name
I Wish There were Tapes...of those Russo Meetings!
(Just to Hear TheStupidity.)
I say Russo is worse than Herd on a technicality. Herd was only around for 3 years and was never seen again. Russo essentially killed WCW and TNA 10 years apart. Russo has been a pain in the ass for 25 years now while Herd hasn't been around in 30
Russo had the highest ratings ever in wrestling. Let that sink in. WWE needs Russo now more then ever.
No, the highest wrestling rating ever was for Hogan vs Andre on The Main Event in 1988. Over 33 million people watched it.
Howdy friends 👋
@KaneMagus howdy I thought comments are a way to show support and I didn't mean to offend anyone.
Hello friend and you are my friend, welcome back to Jim Cornette's Drive Thru
Imagine if Vince chose cornette
Before watching... I'm assuming death is not an option here.
Russo or Bischoff?
If I ever see Jim Cornette I'm going to give him a Ghetto Blaster !
I believe Jim already did a ranking lol
Between Vince Russo and Jim Cornette one of them was responsible for record business in the WWF and the other ACTUALLY put a wrestling company out of business.
Actually they both put a wrestling company out of business. Only difference was one was a local independent promotion that was only around for 4 years while the other was a multi-million dollar worldwide promotion that had been around for decades in one form, and was the number 1 promotion in the world just 2 years before.
@@ReflectionOfPerfection Shame that agenda just isn't true with every metric dropping off a cliff before Russo even got there. When Russo left in January 2000 all of the metrics immediately got worse too. The writer of the show can't put a company out of business no matter how many times bitter Cornette keeps repeating it.
He was the one that had no success when he was in creative and he actually put his own company (funded mostly by someone else of course) out of business.
@@pmfg11 What part of...
WCW did a 4.4 under Cornette in Feb 90 while Russo never got more than a 3.7..did you not understand?
Russo came back in May of 2000 and did a 3.2, the last show he did on October 9 did a 2.5. Ratings dropped like a dead deer when he was in charge the second time around.
Again, you're against someone that knows facts. You were expecting a 21 year old aew/wwe kid, it's ok to admit you're in over your head.
@@ReflectionOfPerfection WCW Main Event did a 4.4 in the 18th of February. He left the company after Halloween Havoc in late October where the ratings were in the mid 2's for a long time. And the 4.4 wasn't even under Cornette he was just a part of the creative team. "Oh but it was Jim Herd's fault not Cornette's" okay lmao its never Cornette's fault.
Now compare the WWF ratings, house shows, PPV buys when Russo was there and when Cornette was there and tell me the difference. With Russo writing millions and millions of new people tuned in, with Cornette they were tuning out.
Just because he is a good manager and knows the history of the business and how it was booked in the 70s and 80s doesn't mean that he had any clue how to book in the 90s and 2000s, he was fucking awful in creative.
You're a Jim Cornette mark, you don't know facts, you just get fed the same agenda from him based on his personal preferences and you sit there and take it like the ignorant mark you are
@@pmfg11 Cornette quit the booking team Iong before he left the company and how ironic you're trying to say "Cornette was just part of a team" when that's all Russo was. McMahon was and always will be "head writer" and Russo was just along for the ride.
And ppv buys went UP after Russo left. Fully Loaded 99 - 360K, Fully Loaded 00 - 420K, Wrestlemania 15 - 800K, Wrestlemania 2000 - 824K
Now go watch WCW's ratings and ppv buys sink like a rock with him in charge.
You Russo marks are expecting 21 year old AEW marks but you got someone who actually lived through the AE and saw how much Russo sucked first hand.
Literally you don't know shit about wrestling apart from what Russo regurgitated on his shitty podcast. You just got castrated, mark.

Vince Russo wrote when the WWF turned around and achieved their highest ratings ever. If it wasn’t his ideas, WWF wouldn’t of won the war
The biggest boob was because of montreal, they had stone cold and the rock. Russo did some good but most of it was shit and is still shit.
What ideas? All Russo did was watch Jerry Springer and take down what he saw.

WCW Saturday Night ratings June of 89 - 1.8
WCW Saturday Night ratings February 1990 - 4.2
WCW Nitro ratings in October of 1999 - 3.3
