0:58 Agreed he is a phenomenal actor who truly deserved his Oscar win for Oppenheimer! No matter what film he is in he elevates it to the next level, even if that film is not quite perfect! I'm a retired ballet dancer and I really admire his use of stillness and silence, but his theatre background also gives him great power. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Y'know, it seems like Tommy's demeanor this whole show is of a man fighting to contain the animal rage inside himself. All those family meetings, he's so calm, but he's almost talking to himself to keep the animal quiet.
The most heartbreaking episode of the show imo. Complete hopelessness. Trying to do everything you can to save your child but in the end, none of it mattered. I think in the entirety of the show this was the very first wake up call for Tommy.
Just sharing some small details, The reason why tommy suspects esme to have caused all of rubys death is because in season 4 episode 2 esme cursed tommy in the scene of john’s body in the morgue.
@@jamesharland5137 yeah she was great this season, and the ironic thing about it is if Helen McCrory hadn’t have passed away a lot Aida’s eventual scenes would I am sure have been played by Polly.
Stephen graham you said he looks familiar he played the part of al capone in the series board walk Empire and also played a mob boss in the movie the irishman.
recently washed boardwalk empire a few months ago. a lot of people call it “the sopranos’s little brother” - top 10 show for me. they should react to it
They also, for dramatic effect, added zeros to the audience and membership of Mosley’s party. Though they certainly nailed Diana, one of the Mitford sisters, a subject for a series by itself.
In fact it was his grandfather who was involved in Liquor Imports and may well have had shady dealings. His father was a banker / businessman though there were rumours
This breaks my heart the way I see Tommy in this episode is that it’s like a strong religion that he strongly believes and he really believes in it fully and completely it sucks that the curse was made because Tommy warned the woman who he gave it to and was so honest she took it anyway then put it on a child
I always thought with all the money and influence, and this series was set in the 30s. I always thought they would have tried anti biotics on his daughter. Surley after the discovery by Flemming in '28 the would have put 2 and 2 together by then?? Edit. Just checked. 1943 and the discoverers won the Nobel in '52
Love your reactions! You need to watch Irish gangster drama KIN. It has the actor Aiden Gillen in, who played the amazing Aberama! I'm sure you guys would love it ❤
Superb, luckily for us in the UK, the BBC brought it and has shown both seasons. If you liked Love/Hate, another Gillen role, you will love Kin which newer by over a decade, even more uncompromising and brilliant.
Not only is Oswald Mosley a real person , Diana Mitford, the future Diana Mosley was a real person and she was just as obnoxious as she is on the programme. There are oodles of videos from her on you tube. Not so many Oswald I think because he died before television programmes chat shows were a thing. Also if you watch Diana Mosley I recommend watching Lady Glencommer , just have a care where you watch her.. no children …
@@grabtharshammer he was a bitter man who never got a seat in Parliament post war and eventually lived in France as he wasn’t wanted at all in the UK. Diana Mosley was famous in her own right for being one of the Mitford sisters and so Nancy’s books had a television revival about that time before she died . I loved her books and loathed Diana Mitford and unrepentant bigot till the end.
Tommy isn't ill! It must have been the lighting in the previous episode, but the not drinking seems to be making his PTSD much worse! Tommy needs a whiskey!

Poor Steven, he's a big tough bruiser, but the look on his face when that baby is so sick, what good hearts y'all have.
Fr bro! They’re such a lovely pair 👌🏼

Natasha O'Keefe was incredible in that last scene, amazing acting which always hits you in the feels.

I LOVE these scenes with Ada.
Stephen Graham is another great actor, wish his role has been bigger in the show but it was good to see him.
He is excellent in Boardwalk Empire
I was really hoping he'd show up here as Al Capone (after the mention last season) but, like you said at least it's good to see him.

As a northside cork city woman Cillian makes us so proud. 🇮🇪
As a west cork man he makes us all proud! 😁
This Northeast Cork man is also proud of Cillian.
He makes me proud and I'm from Dublin 😊👍
I’m proud of him too as a brummie
This episode aired on the same day or at least week of International Women's Day, so it was very fitting for Ada to attend the meeting like a boss.
I've been waiting for so long to hear that
"Who the fuck are you?"
"I'm the owner of this colt pistol and the bullets within it."
Just sharing some small details, The reason why tommy suspects esme to have caused all of rubys death is because in season 4 episode 2 esme cursed tommy in the scene of john’s body in the morgue.

don't forget 'lock stock and two smoking barrels' _he didn't have the minerals_
Or his absolutely shining role as a skinhead in This is England
Adas wittiness is like her older bro, when it comes to business shes like a female version of Tommy
17:28 he came out in a show called “Boardwalk Empire “ as Alfons Capone

Glad you guys are finishing this great tv show! I recommend Boardwalk Empire, it's so good of a series. Take care!
Although Oswald Mosley was a real person in a fictional story, Jack Nelson is supposedly based on Joe Kennedy, father of John F Kennedy.

A superb, deep and powerful season this one.
Ada BLADES OUT is my favorite Ada
Cultural note, OBE is Order of the British Empire and MP is Member of Parliament
Stephen Graham (Stagg) has been in a shitload of things. You might know him as Al Capone in Boardwalk Empire or Tommy, Jason Statham's mate in Snatch.
Great review
A great drinking game would be everytime Steven says
“that was intense “ … you drink up 😄
That guy that gave Arthur an intervention was actually Al Capone in disguise
I hate that we're nearing the end of these reactions.
Familiar? Remember Capone in Boadwalk Empire?
And Tommy in Snatch.

Great reaction. Cant wait for the film. You guys should check out 'The Gentlemen' by Guy Ritchie. Some great characters.
Ada was a boss this episode!
The boss of the episode
I believe you mean "the sister"
Heyden Stagg looks familiar probably because he played Myron Ranney in Band of Brothers. His name is Stephen Graham.
And boardwalk empire on HBO Max. He played Al Capone
Ada is just the GOAT, she may be the strongest of the whole family
And the most sane!
