Beautiful hexagon pop-up box cards Sam 🥰 I love the butterflies, your card designs and your envelope designs ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
I have a question about when you mail your cards. I've wondered about this since you started adding old postage stamps plus the postal-themed stamping to the envelopes. Do you put the card in that envelope, then put that in a separate, slightly larger envelope with regular/current postage stamp(s) to mail it? I'm just curious. I know Kristina Werner here in the U.S. uses vintage uncanceled postage stamps when she does her mail art, as those still have a value as actual postage & will count for mailing. But she doesn't add any postal-themed stamping near or over those stamps, which may well render them value-less. Anyway, I'm just curious. Thank you for sharing this. I really love the look, & will file the idea/instructions away for future cards. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
Hello . Yes all the stamps I use are purely decorative and usually the finished card is hand delivered . . If I’m posting the card I will put it in another envelope and use paid for stamps. 😊
Oh! That will be a wonderful card for just about any reason-- and I'm pretty sure it won't just go back in the envelope after received. A card and a decoration in one! The butterflies are gorgeous. Sam, what is the book that you use for organizing your stamps? Years ago I purchased a one gallon bag of stamps from a collector. I rarely use them because digging through the bag is such a bother. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hello these are old empty stamp albums I get from charity shops , Sometimes I’m lucky enough to find some stamps in them . If you prefer you can buy new empty albums to put your stamps in 😊
Do you mean the wax seals ? . If so it can be bought on craft stash . If you mean the ones on the front of the envelope they are used stamps that I buy from charity shops . 😊
The Magyars stamp is from Hungary. Sissinghurst is a world famous garden in Kent designed by Vita Sackville-West in the 1930’s. She’s well worth reading about. 😊
Sissinghurst is in Kent and is famous for its castle and beautiful gardens well worth a visit,
