  • Have you ever wondered what was there before our Universe? While scientists are looking for the answer to the most difficult question in history, let’s find out what they’ve come up with so far. In the 20th century, we’ve shed light on this mystery. All thanks to this man - Edwin Hubble. One day, on Mount Wilson in Southern California, he aimed his telescope at the sky and found out that these random clouds of gas flying everywhere were actually… other galaxies.

    This is Aristotles dilemma. No matter how far you go back, you must keep asking yourself. "What became before that?" and so on infinetly. No matter WHAT you think may have come "before". you can continue to ask yourself, what became before that? No matter how many universes there are, and no matter how they come about, you will always have to ask, "What came before."

      The problem with the rational of such arguments from ontology is that it cannot be extended further a step. So, if by your rational there cannot exist anything absent a creator, then who/what created the creator? Either 1) the logic fails here immediately or 2) The creator is outside of the bounds of standard reality and need not be created for they always have existed.
      If 1 then the original argument falls apart and if 2 then the logic falls apart as you are stating that there exists creations which have bo creator or always were. And if the creator which existed before the universe needn’t have a creator then the idea that there just be one in the first place is false.

    this just proves my point, only a creator can make something from nothing.
    to quote Charles Colson
    "Some have asserted that the universe was self-generated. This violates, however, a primary law of logic: the law of non-contradiction that says the universe cannot be itself and the thing it creates at the same time.”

      Eternalism doesn’t break the law of non-contradiction. You’re just straw manning and prettying your arguments with hollow rhetoric, pretending that nobody is going to notice.
      Something temporally infinite isn’t created, so eternalism doesn’t posit that the universe created itself. Instead, it says that the universe has always existed. Not an elusive thing to understand.

    • @scottmckeown1729
      @scottmckeown1729 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the universe is infinite it doesn't need to expand into anything.
      Imagine you write a computer program that produces a number line on your screen where the numbers are all an inch apart. And you can scroll to the left and right as much as you want. Then go back into the code to change it from having a number every inch to every two inches...so what did the number line expand into? ...nothing... a number line where all the numbers are an inch apart is infinite in size. So too is the number line where all the numbers are two inches apart. Think about it, you can't find a spot on the old number line that the moved to a new spot that didn't use to exist. The 10 moved to the 20 spot and the 5 million moved to the 10 million spot.

    Why is there no Creators theory? Even with all these theory’s you still need to explain why something is created out of nothing. The only way to explain it is because of a superior being who has always been.
    There has to be space, matter and time. These three do not just spontaneously start. It is not only the question where does matter come from, but also: Where does this tremendously big space comes from? How is time created!
    Only a superior being that is in itself infinitely in space size, before time and not bound by time and all powerful can be the answer!

      @@SpartacusMA1 it would be awesome because that would allow us to learn about this "alpha and omega", so we can understand its motives and finally our true purpose. It's hard to believe that the complexity of all living things was from our understanding of "nothing" and everything in this universe is perfect for its purpose except us humans.

      @@randyrobinson5059 I think you should work on your approach here. "Wouldn't that be awesome?" comes off a bit condescending...you say that to a child, not an adult.
      I think when we find things that are hard to believe, we need to dig deeper. I don't pretend to understand everything about astrophysics, but I find it more explanatory than the idea that some almighty power decided to reveal itself through an easily mistranslated book filled with mythology and sanctioned immorality.
