On the first version of the Triumph amps, the midrange and bass controls don't do anything on the 2 gain channels. It was designed that way. I don't know if that applies to the Triumph PAG amps.

My buddy had one of these. Cool amp. I had the VTM 120 which I wish I’d never got rid of. Peavy made some good stuff back in the day.

@@roncarter2188 I only did the EQ mod, it was simple sniping out a resistor. I didnt do the diode mod.

The Triumph series amps are killer. I'm surprised they aren't legendary. That's good in a way, though, because you can pick them up cheap!
That's right, they are really affordable.
I have 2 triumph combos, one cuts out, one doesn't. Also one is very microphonic. Some day I'll get it on the bench.
Do you have the Triumph 120 combo? And if you do I just wondered how you liked it.

That was my first tube amp. Orginally the combo but I had it rehoused into a head and cab. I should grab it out of the garage and try it out again.
