I am very happy with our recent move from San Antonio TX to Eastern Central Florida this year! My husband's job in San Antonio closed down last fall. The company offered him positions in six other states, but we refused to leave Texas until Florida was offered! Now we're thrilled to be here and very proud of our awesome governor!
Hands-down the best Governor I've lived under in my lifetime yet to date. I know you resigned in disgrace Andrew Cuomo but thank you for pushing me out of the PRNY when you were still in office like you did, allowing me to have such a fortune like I have now in the end. I left the PRNY in 2016 and haven't looked back, voted for DeSantis in 2018 and wholeheartedly plan to do so again this year.

I am from Georgia too, and even though Georgia will always have my heart, I could no longer stand the direction the politics of the state are going. So we moved to Florida, and one of the reasons was because of DeSantis. I'm so afraid that horrible Stacey Abrams is going to be the next governor of Georgia. I really liked it when DeSantis who is all about "personal freedoms", yelled at some kids who were exercising their personal freedom and wearing masks. He ordered them to take them off and then when he saw how bad it looked he said you can wear them if you want. Then he threw a hissy fit about wearing masks in the midst of an outbreak in that district. DeSantis doesn't care about safety, he cares about running for President, by pandering to racists and pro-lifers.

Hell yeah!! I worked for a middle school before Covid lockdown….right before the lock (literally the Thursday before Desantis declared all schools will be closed the rest of the year) we were on the 7th grade Tallahassee trip, and went to the governor’s mansion. I got to sit in the chair that the governor sits in when he’s signing things for the media to see(unfortunately Ron wasn’t there that day). I did it when Rick Scott was governor also, but this time I felt reverence and pride like no other time. I now am in a job position that Desantis created (School Guardian) in response to the unbelievable tragedy at Marjorie Stoneman Douglass HS…he is my governor through and through and I would follow him into war if need be!! It's beautiful down here. The theme parks are not the real Florida. The vast number of state, local and federal parks are unbelievable and the beaches are very good. I really can't think of a negative. The weather is unmatched. We do have to put up with a hurricane every now and then, but the benefits far outweigh any negative. The hurricanes don't bother most of us unless you decide to live on the coast. Otherwise, just prepare and it's not much to worry about.

I was born and raised in Georgia. I love Governor DeSantis and wish we here in Georgia had a Governor equal to that of Governor DeSantis a real leader!
I am from Georgia too, and even though Georgia will always have my heart, I could no longer stand the direction the politics of the state are going. So we moved to Florida, and one of the reasons was because of DeSantis. I'm so afraid that horrible Stacey Abrams is going to be the next governor of Georgia. Everytime I think about it it makes me sick.

I really liked it when DeSantis who is all about "personal freedoms", yelled at some kids who were exercising their personal freedom and wearing masks. He ordered them to take them off and then when he saw how bad it looked he said you can wear them if you want. Then he threw a hissy fit about wearing masks in the midst of an outbreak in that district. DeSantis doesn't care about safety, he cares about running for President, by pandering to racists and pro-lifers.
@@johnslade7540 DeSantis was outraged FOR the children, not AT them. He was outraged that the adults, the educators, were standing there *without* *masks* -- while the school children were ALL wearing masks. I recall Stacey Abrams posing without a mask for a photo with schoolchildren -- while every. single. one. of the children in her presence wore masks. School children should not be made to feel that they must follow arbitrary rules -- while ADULTS and ELITES do not comply. Children are not second-class citizens. That was very clearly DeSantis's point. His exasperation on behalf of the kids was warranted. Democratic politicians might not lose their cool to such an extent -- because 1), their IMAGE is their priority and 2), they could care less. That's the difference.

I don't care about Abrams, she has nothing to do with this conversation. And Republicans and Democrats in Congress will back me up on that. He garnered immense respect as a freshman in Congress for exactly that. He calls out Republicans just as often as he does Democrats. His record speaks for itself. Your *assumption* of the motivation behind his frustration at what he rightly calls, "COVID theater," is just that -- an assumption. Hell yeah!! I worked for a middle school before Covid lockdown….right before the lock (literally the Thursday before Desantis declared all schools will be closed the rest of the year) we were on the 7th grade Tallahassee trip, and went to the governor’s mansion. I got to sit in the chair that the governor sits in when he’s signing things for the media to see(unfortunately Ron wasn’t there that day). I did it when Rick Scott was governor also, but this time I felt reverence and pride like no other time. I now am in a job position that Desantis created (School Guardian) in response to the unbelievable tragedy at Marjorie Stoneman Douglass HS…he is my governor through and through and I would follow him into war if need be!! Great friggin song!!!

It's beautiful down here. The theme parks are not the real Florida. The vast number of state, local and federal parks are unbelievable and the beaches are very good. I really can't think of a negative. The weather is unmatched. We do have to put up with a hurricane every now and then, but the benefits far outweigh any negative. The hurricanes don't bother most of us unless you decide to live on the coast. Otherwise, just prepare and it's not much to worry about.
