That's coz musicians have lost their free spirit and a set of balls to stand up to the dark and desgusting tyranny that has 'evidently' been welcomed to all of our shores 😔 We're being played and evil flourishes when good people do nothing... 🖕💉Bollox to this toxic black triangle experimental technology. Absolutely brilliant, I have just discovered them and can not get enough. Watching all the videos the fiddle player has put a bit of weight on. Although he might not be very well.
Weeb is so pretty with her hair like that. Great singing!! This is the way it should be done! Lady pickers suffer a lot in the heat when the hair is down in the summer.

I generally don't really care for string bands but I have to say this is an excellent arrangement. Anyone know the source of the "hang me" verse? I wonder if it came from Dave Van Ronk's version.
+MrSleazymoney With bluegrass style it really depends on who's picking. A really good picker can put the melody notes in the right places and have their fill notes timed in a non-obtrusive way. I've heard that a great banjoist can play four notes as if the mandolin is hitting 2 & 4s and the guitar is doing 1 & 3s.
As a banjoist myself it seems sacrilegious to say this, but I like the Foghorn's sound better without the banjo. You can better hear the interplay between the fiddle and mandolin, which is fantastic. Also they get a great rhythmic groove going (listen to Reuben's Train), which would be kind of covered up and smoothed over by a banjo. I prefer their new sound to what they had in the early days.
+whipsnade13 Right, that was my original feeling, but The mandolin/fiddle lead sets them apart. Sammy and Caleb both play, and sometimes they use banjo, but it isn't really necessary, whatever they play they are a great, versatile group.
Nadine is makin' that bass fiddle sing. What a happy smile she has ALL THE TIME!
Way to go Nadine... You're the best!
Such chemistry. We love you from the Philippines.
And the British Isles 'n all!! ❤️
Love from Holland also❤
Finally the correct version of this song!
Coulda sworn i had an old ngdb version that was like this years ago. Now i cant find it.
All four of this band is just great together. Keep up the great work.
"It's not the hanging that I mind, it's laying in the grave so long,
I've been all around this world..."
:)
Great band!
jail, not grave!
@@HerbWashburn Says who?
The Smothers Brothers used to do a send-up of this song--during the 'folk era' when they had a subversive TV show. Nixon was president then.
Great band. Really enjoyed this rendition.
Reeb and Caleb at their finest! Love this so much!
Desperately need this on an album or released as a single 😩
Incredible energy. A great string-band sound.
Nadine keep it rockin` and enjoy yourself!

Fiddle player has a nice stetson...dont worry Cale...your Harry Truman deluxe is still best hat in bluegrass
This is that song from Inside Llewyn Davis sped up 2x
@whipsnade13 I'm getting "it's the waiting here so long"
+Jason Simpson, I think we're both wrong; I think they're singing, "It's waiting in jail too long."
+whipsnade13 I can see that, "it's the waiting in jail so long". That looks like what they're saying now that you mention it....
